Winds of war and AFTER

The future salvation or annihilation of billions of people depends on what we do now and Mercy. When “HaShem” (God) sends His fury on the wicked then the righteous will find salvation.

American Jews and their leadership are preparing for national suicide. Some Jews are evenly blatantly anti-Jewish.  The most primitive of people knows to seek after their own national self-interest – Jews have been have been placing liberal or “humanitarian” concepts over Jewish ones and are working tirelessly to destroy themselves. Any normal people realizes that democracy is made of self-interest groups business, consumers, unions, religions, minorities and their lobbyists looking  to get what they want.. Some Jews retain their Jewishness, but are only concerned with liberalism, before Jewish identity and support of Israel, the Jewish State.  Will a liberal world guarantee safety for the Jew. There will be no safety for a Jew at the expense of his own identity, its like shooting oneself in the foot.  So why is it that certain Jews strive to escape their Jewish identity by becoming globalists and “humanists,” rather than act as a normal ethic people who seek after their own national self-interest ?  Unless the Jew stands up for himself, no one else who will. HAVE NO DOUBT ABOUT THIS

Interesting that the Hebrew language media in Israel is giving more emphasis to the news from the government about the next muslim war against Israel than is the English language news.

If any phrase can be applied to these events about what the political leaders in Israel are doing, it can be termed in English as “covering their tushes”.  230,000 sophisticated and accurate rockets just in Lebanon, as Nasrallah continues to state, to be sent to Israel.  And the political leaders in Israel say only a 1 % hit rate?  And this regards only their long range rockets.  Nasrallah has also many thousands of new and sophisticated short range rockets to be used on the north of Israel, e.g. Tzfat and other communities.  A hit rate of only 1 %, nonsense, but at least they are “covering their tushes”!  The government has already said they have a plan to evacuate all the north of Israel, move the people into underground garages in the center of Israel.  With many thousands of rockets raining down on Israel daily, non-stop, who is to say definitely that there will be time for evacuation?  Roads still passable?  Enough buses?  Enough fuel?  The muslims have already said that they will target first Israels electricity generating plants, water plants, communications, TV and radio, military communications and command and control, major roads, oil refining, chemical industries, etc. in their first waves of attacks.  And all the while the perfect male of inaction, Bibi at the helm ( I can not use the word “man” to describe such a mere male ).

Taking things in a local context, for the government of Israel to openly admit to the facts, even if understated and to make preparations for its implementation, its a huge admission not easily given, not readily given in Israel.

Not only is all this well known and well described going back as far as several thousand years, including by Rabbi Eliezer, the teacher of Rabbi Akiva, but by some who came after them, including Rabbi Shimon barYochai who describes the times and work of the (first) moshiach in great detail over many pages in The Zohar HaKadosh, etc.  All of that points to our times, more on this below.

All that has happened and is now unfolding, its exactly as described from olden times.  If that is any indication of accuracy, then what comes next might also be worth considering as meaningful.  If recognizing Hashem is not made and soon, then what is written as what is to happen …..  In most brief form, it begins with the total destruction of Israel over 3 wars, with only a few thousand souls remaining alive, the rest are to be killed by Bibi’s beloved “peace partners” and their liter mates.  The few who survive will be hiding in caves in the ground for a year, no food, no water, no heating, etc etc etc, and a few thousand others will remain in Jerusalem.  The muslims will divide the land with ropes and plant orchards there.  What is left of The Land will be under the control of various foreign powers, with them sharing power over Jerusalem.  After a year of this, the first moshiach is to begin his work.  All this can take a few years to unfold, and after Israel, the goyim of the planet then turn their attention to Jews resident outside The Land, so literally there is no escape.

As to timing, this stage in the evolution of the souls is supposed to last 6,000 years.  We are now almost at year 5,777, the Zohar HaKadosh and other sources say that the process of moshiach and revival of the dead takes 210 years ( that number sound familiar? ).  So 6,000 – 5,777 – 210 = 13 years for the 3 wars and all the rest that pertains to this time period to unfold …..  Of course recognition of Hashem by the many, Real Tshuva by the many, and Hashem can change all this as He desires.  Of course these 3 alternatives are still open and there are the few who always work to help Am Israel, even / especially when there isn’t merit on the part of the many …..

Those who receive my emails on this subject know that the info I’ve been sending out relates even to the numbers of missiles and their locations have been provided long ago…..

Again, all this can be prevented, it requires that our people recognize Hashem – the easiest option.  Is this a novel concept?  How difficult will it be for the non-religious to recognize Hashem?  How difficult will it be difficult for those who pay only lip service to Hashem, giving much more time, effort and emphasis to the words of males instead?  And also to mere drops of flesh and blood, often called “rebbe”, or “my rebbe”, or “the rebbe”, or “my the rebbe”, or “my the moshiach”, etc.?  All this is counter productive!  As is known, Hashem is long suffering “with the stuyot” – “nonsense”  of His “stiff necked” ones.  But the length of time of “long suffering” does seem to have its limits – which now appears to be drawing to a close.

Just as in Europe when the many turned their backs on Hashem not so long ago, and turned to the Haskallah ( so called enlightenment ) movement instead, even eliminated the daily spreading of Hashems Shefa to the people in the Berkat HaCoheneme, they got what they earned, the Shoah ( holocaust ).  They earned what they got, it was not for free.  What comes next is also in the hands of the many, same old, same old, or will they do better?  Freedom of choice does come with consequences, still …..

Questions on any of the above are NOT now welcome, except on the recognition of Hashem – that is now paramount.  Any who prefer to waste their time on the relatively unimportant, please do so NOT involving me in same.  I’ve already written much on all the options, preamble, details, sign posts, timing, personalities and so on and so on.  Now is the time for appropriate action, even if rather late in the day…..

The Radak tells us that they shall be destroyed through this. The prophet Zechariah explains the destruction further:

 

” The nations that siege Jerusalem, their flesh shall waste away while he stands on his feet, his eyes shall waste away in their sockets, so too his tongue “.  (14:2)

 

Concerning the future of Edom, the inheritors of the Roman Empire, the Prophet Daniel states:

 

The fourth beast will be consumed in fire “.  (7:11)

 

The prophet Daniel states:

 

“Egypt will not be a survivor ” (11:42)

 

Concerning Amon (Jordan) the prophet Jeremiah states:

 

” Amon shall become a desolate mound. Its villages shall be burnt with fire. Israel shall possess those who have possessed their possessions says YHVH  “.  (49:2)

    

Concerning Damascus (Syria) Jeremiah states:

 

“Damascus shall be consumed in fire, no one shall live there “.  (49:23)

 

From the words of the Prophet Jeremiah we can see a bit of to what extent Jews and gentiles alike are going to change :

 

                                         ”  At that time they shall call Jerusalem the thrown of  YHVH and all the nations shall be gathered to it. To the name of YHVH to Jerusalem, Nor shall they walk anymore after the stubbornness of Their evil heart ” (3:17)

      The Radak says no longer will Yisrael or the nations walk after their stubborn hearts, which refers to the hardening of the heart. Metsudat David says  at the Thrown of Hashem Jerusalem they shall see the Shechinah. In the Talmud in tractate Bava Batra1, Rabba said in the name of Rav Yochanan, in the future the Holy One will lift up Jerusalem three parsa high, but the sages say it will be lifted up to the space equal to that which it occupies. At that time Jerusalem shall not be as today. As in the future only those invited will be able to go up. Also looking at the words of the prophet Micah we can see how all the nations come to recognize that Hashem dwells in Israel :

 

                                                ” In the last days it shall come to pass that the mountain of the house of YHVH shall be established on the top of the mountains. It shall be exulted on the top of the hills.  Peoples Shall stream towards it. The nations shall say come let us go to the mountain  of YHVH the house of the God of  Jacob. He shall teach us His ways and we shall walk in His paths. For the Torah shall go out from Zion and the word of YHVH from Jerusalem. He shall judge between many peoples and shall decide concerning the strong nations afar off. They shall beat Their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift sword against nation. Nor shall they learn war anymore, Each man shall sit under His vine or Fig tree. None shall make Them afraid for the mouth of YHVH TSVAOT has spoken it. (4:1-4)             

     The Radak tells us all the gentiles will say to their friends let us go to Jerusalem, and go up to the house of Hashem. The Metsudat David says they will go up to Jerusalem to learn the Torah. The Messiah will be the ruler on all the peoples,  and there will no longer be war among the nations, as He will make peace between them. We have seen how all the nations will be effected by Divine revelation, yet even after all this it appears that there shall be a few stragglers Who will need more persuasion as we see in the Prophesy of Zechariah:

 

                             ” And it shall come to pass that everyone that is left of all the nations Who come against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the living king YHVH TSVAOT , and to keep the feast of Succoth and whoever does not come up of all the families of the Earth to Jerusalem to worship the king YHVH TSVAOT, upon them there shall be no rain ” (14:16-17)

         The Radak says, those of the nations that are left after the war will turn to Hashem with all of their Heart. The war will happen in the time of Succoth. The nations shall see the wonders of Hashem. If they do not go up the nation’s land will not have rain. 

         Rabbi Yochanan informs us in Midrash Rabbah2 concerning the Song of Songs that Jerusalem in the time to come will extend as far as Damascus. allowing room to accommodate many. From the words of the Prophet Isaiah we see that over all the effect of the work of Messiah will be wide spread:

 

                                   ” And it shall be in the last days that the Mountain of the house of YHVH  shall be established on the top of the mountains and be exulted above the hills. All the nations shall flow into it. Many peoples will shall go up and flow into it and say come let us go up to the mountain of YHVH to the house of the God of  Jacob. He will teach us his ways, and we shall walk in His paths. For out of Zion shall go forth the Torah and the word of YHVH from Jerusalem. He shall judge the people among the nations and decide among many people. They shall beat their sword into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks, nation shall not lift sword against nation neither shall they learn war any more ” (2:2-4)        

          The Radak tells us all the places where the expression ‘last days’ appears, refers to days of Messiah. Messiah shall rebuild the Holy Temple. The Metsudat David says all the nations will come to learn the Torah. The Radak says Messiah will resolve conflicts between nations so they will not war. The nations will come to Jerusalem to receive the Torah. This is the judgements of Messiah. Rabbi Eleazer said in the future The Temple shall be raised up and renewed. Its gates that are buried in the Earth shall be renewed and everyone will go to this place, and to the gate of the inner court that turned to the east. Rabbi Pinchas said in the future the waters of the well will ascend from the threshold of the Temple they will overflow and bubble over making twelve streams corresponding to the twelve tribes. As it is written ” He brought me back to the door of the house and behold waters issued out from  under the threshold of the house eastward. For waters came down from the right side of the house, on the south side of the alter ” (Ezekiel 47:1). The waters ascended the brook of Kidron and flowed down the Jordan by Jericho. Every field and vineyard that does not yield fruit people will water them with those waters, and then they shall yield fruit. Then the waters shall enter the Salt Sea and heal it. Then water shall then go to the sea generating many kinds of fish and these fish shall be as sweet as Manna. These fish shall then ascend as far as Jerusalem to be caught in nets. Upon the bank of the stream shall grow all kinds of trees bearing every month  new fruit. The fruit shall be food, and the leaf for healing. All who are ill who bathe in these waters will be Healed. Rabbi Yochanan says the healing leaves will aid digestion.3 Concerning these waters the Prophet Zechariah states ” It will come to pass in this day living waters shall go out from Jerusalem ” (14:8). Concerning this it teaches in Midrash Sedar Ikerim that twelve rivers shall go out from Jerusalem, all the trees on the river shall produce fruit each month. As it say ” From all the trees you will eat ” (Ezekiel 47:12). In the future Hashem will raise the well of Miriam. During the time of the revelation of this Divine glory there shall be no more wars as the Prophet Ezekiel reveals:

 

                                         ” They that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth and set fire to the weapons and burn them shield, buckler, bow, and arrow staves and spears. They shall make fire with them for seven years ” (34:9)

The phrase  “The Secret”  appears 26 times in in the Talmud

In Talmud Katuvot 111a   we learn “THE SECRET “   CONCERNS THE CALANDER !

According to Torah sources, the Hebrew year 6000  marks the latest time for the initiation of the Messianic Age.

There is a 164 year  chronological discrepancy between the rabbinic dating for the destruction of the First Temple in and the academic dating

The  discrepancy between the traditional and academic dating arises over the date of the destruction of the First Temple arising as a result of Jewish sages missing out the reign lengths of several Persian kings during the Persian Empire’s rule over Israel.

Modern scholars tally ten Persian kings whose combined reigns total 208 years. By contrast, the ancient Jewish sages only mention four Persian kings totaling 52 years.

You should know, that the kingdom of Persia ruled 200 years during the time of the Temple and not 52 as Chazal have it. The names of the kings are as follows: Cyrus, his son Cambyses, Darius I, then Xerxes, the son of Darius of whom it is said that he is Achashverus, Artaxerxes I who ruled until 424 BCE, and so on for the kings of Persia until the year 334 BCE when Alexander of Macedon conquered them.]. Ezra’s emigrated to the land of Israel in the time of King Artaxerxes which was some 80 years after King Cyrus of Persia’s declaration.

This is even more bizarre, the sages say in Tractate Rosh Hashanah 3b that “Cyrus was Darius was Artaxerxes. Cyrus [Koresh] for he was a kosher king, Artaxerxes for the name of his kingdom, and his name was Darius.” With this they turned three kings, who reigned over a period of more than 100 years, into one king! Don’t wonder about it; in many places Chazal made several people into one. We will bring two examples. “Sheshbatzar is Danniel, and why was he called Sheshbatzar? For he withstood six (shesh) troubles (tzarot)” (Rashi on Ezra 1:8). About this did Ibn Ezra say (Daniel 1:4), “Daniel is not Sheshbatzar, with absolute proof.” Similarly, “Keturah is Hagar,” and the Rashbam wrote, “According to the plain meaning this is not Hagar” (Genesis 25:1).

The reigns of several Persian kings appear to be missing from the traditional calculations. !

It seems that for some  reason 156 year of Persian rule over the Holyland the Sages did not include in the calander ?

The words

 “seal the words and close the book”

In the book of Daniel as a positive commandment to obscure the calculations for the Messiah mentioned within, so that the true date of the Messiah’s arrival would not be known

Ketubot 111a-b: Oaths That Bind

Based on passages in Shir HaShirim (2:7, 3:5, 8:4), Rabbi Yosei bar Hanina understands that there are three oaths that bind the Jewish people in their relationship with the non-Jewish world:

  1. That the Jews should not return to the Land of Israel be-homah – “like a wall”;
  2. That the Jews should not rebel against the nations of the world;
  3. That the nations of the world should not oppress the Jewish people overmuch.

Rashi interprets the first oath to mean that the Jewish people should not return to Israel by force, all together (in fact, some manuscripts have ka-homah, which would indicate “all together”). The Maharsha argues that it refers to the actual building of a wall – which would indicate a rebellion against the ruling nation. Such building could not be done without the permission of the nations that ruled over the land, as took place with the return of Ezra and Nehemia at the beginning of the Second Temple era.

Based on his reading of the pesukim in Shir HaShirim, Rabbi Levi believed that each passage implied a double oath. Aside from the three mentioned above, he adds three more:

  1. That the end (ketz) should not be revealed;
  2. That the end should not be pushed off;
  3. That the secret should not be shared with the non-Jews.

Rashi understands that the fifth oath is a warning that sins and transgressions will delay the Messianic end of days, while the Maharsha suggests that it means that the people should not push off the ends of days in their hearts, but that they should believe that the Messiah will come swiftly.

There are also a wide variety of opinions regarding the secret that cannot be shared with non-Jews. While Rabbeinu Tam believes that it is the secret of the Jewish calendar and Rabbi Avraham Ya’akov Neimark in his Eshel Avraham suggests that it refers to the oaths that are under discussion, it may not be connected with a religious issue at all. In a mosaic floor that was found in Ein Gedi, a curse is placed on the person who reveals the secret of the city to non-Jews. It is an apparent reference to a security secret; a way to enter the city.

 “They shall be taken to Babylonia and there they shall remain until the day that I recall them, said the Lord” (Jeremiah 27:22). Based on that verse, Rav Yehuda held that since the Babylonian exile was imposed by divine decree, permission to leave Babylonia for Eretz Yisrael could be granted only by God. The Gemara asks: And how does Rabbi Zeira interpret that verse? The Gemara answers that Rabbi Zeira maintains that that verse is written about the Temple service vessels, and it does not refer to the Jewish people, as the previous verse states: “Thus says the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain in the house of the Lord” (Jeremiah 27:21). Consequently, Rabbi Zeira sought to ascend to Eretz Yisrael.

ורב יהודה כתיב קרא אחרינא (שיר השירים ב, ז) השבעתי אתכם בנות ירושלים בצבאות או באילות השדה וגו’

The Gemara asks: And how does Rav Yehuda respond to this argument? The verse is clearly referring to the Temple vessels, not to the people. The Gemara answers that another verse is written: “I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem, by the gazelles and by the hinds of the field, that you not awaken or stir up love, until it please” (Song of Songs 2:7). Rabbi Yehuda derived from here that no act of redemption should be performed until a time arrives when it pleases God to bring about the redemption.

ורבי זירא ההוא שלא יעלו ישראל בחומה ורב יהודה השבעתי אחרינא כתיב ורבי זירא

And Rabbi Zeira maintains that the oath mentioned in that verse means that the Jews should not ascend to Eretz Yisrael as a wall, i.e., en masse, whereas individuals may immigrate as they wish. The Gemara asks: And what does Rav Yehuda reply to this? The Gemara answers that this command is derived from another verse in which “I adjure you” (Song of Songs 3:5) is written. The Gemara asks: And how does Rabbi Zeira explain the repetition of this oath in these verses?

ההוא מיבעי ליה לכדרבי יוסי ברבי חנינא דאמר ג’ שבועות הללו למה אחת שלא יעלו ישראל בחומה ואחת שהשביע הקדוש ברוך הוא את ישראל שלא ימרדו באומות העולם ואחת שהשביע הקדוש ברוך הוא את העובדי כוכבים שלא ישתעבדו בהן בישראל יותר מדאי

The Gemara explains: That verse is necessary for that which was taught by Rabbi Yosei, son of Rabbi Ḥanina, who said: Why are these three oaths (Song of Songs 2:7, 3:5, 8:4) needed? One, so that the Jews should not ascend to Eretz Yisrael as a wall, but little by little. And another one, that the Holy One, Blessed be He, adjured the Jews that they should not rebel against the rule of the nations of the world. And the last one is that the Holy One, Blessed be He, adjured the nations of the world that they should not subjugate the Jews excessively.

ורב יהודה (שיר השירים ב, ז) אם תעירו ואם תעוררו כתיב ורבי זירא

And how does Rav Yehuda respond? It is written: “That you not awaken or stir up love” (Song of Songs 2:7), which serves to amplify and include a prohibition against Jews immigrating to Eretz Yisrael. The Gemara asks: And how does Rabbi Zeira explain the extra emphasis of this phrase?

מיבעי ליה לכדרבי לוי דאמר שש שבועות הללו למה תלתא הני דאמרן אינך שלא יגלו את הקץ ושלא ירחקו את הקץ ושלא יגלו הסוד לעובדי כוכבים

The Gemara explains: He needs this phrase for that which was taught by Rabbi Levi, who said: These six oaths, i.e., the aforementioned three verses containing oaths, each of which contains the phrase “That you not awaken or stir up,” why are they necessary? Three are those that we said and explained above. The other three oaths are as follows: That those who know should not reveal the end of days; and that they should not distance the end of days by saying that it is still distant; and that they should not reveal the secret of the Jews to the nations.

(שיר השירים ב, ז) בצבאות או באילות השדה אמר רבי אלעזר אמר להם הקב”ה לישראל אם אתם מקיימין את השבועה מוטב ואם לאו אני מתיר את בשרכם כצבאות וכאילות השדה

  • The Gemara discusses a phrase in the verse cited above. “I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem, by the gazelles and by the hinds of the field” (Song of Songs 2:7). Rabbi Elazar said: The Holy One, Blessed be He, said to the Jewish people: If you fulfill the oath, it is good, and if not, I will abandon your flesh and all will devour you like the gazelles and like the hinds of the field.

אמר רבי אלעזר כל הדר בארץ ישראל שרוי בלא עון שנאמר (ישעיהו לג, כד) ובל יאמר שכן חליתי העם היושב בה נשוא עון א”ל רבא לרב אשי אנן בסובלי חלאים מתנינן לה

Rabbi Elazar said: Anyone who resides in Eretz Yisrael dwells without transgression, as it is stated: “And the inhabitant shall not say: I am sick; the people that dwell there shall be forgiven their iniquity” (Isaiah 33:24). Rava said to Rav Ashi: We learned this promise with regard to those who suffer from sickness. The phrase “I am sick” indicates that they are the ones who are forgiven their sins.

אמר רב ענן כל הקבור בארץ ישראל כאילו קבור תחת המזבח כתיב הכא (שמות כ, כד) מזבח אדמה תעשה לי וכתיב התם (דברים לב, מג) וכפר אדמתו עמו

Rav Anan said: Anyone who is buried in Eretz Yisrael is considered as though he is buried beneath the altar. It is stated here: “An altar of earth [adama] you shall make for Me” (Exodus 20:21), and it is stated there: “For He does avenge the blood of His servants, and renders vengeance to His adversaries, and atones for the land of [admato] His people” (Deuteronomy 32:43). This teaches that one who is buried in the earth of Eretz Yisrael is considered as though he is buried beneath the altar in the Temple.

עולא הוה רגיל דהוה סליק לארץ ישראל נח נפשיה בחוץ לארץ אתו אמרו ליה לרבי אלעזר אמר אנת עולא (עמוס ז, יז) על אדמה טמאה תמות אמרו לו ארונו בא אמר להם אינו דומה קולטתו מחיים לקולטתו לאחר מיתה

  • The Gemara relates: Ulla was accustomed to ascend to Eretz Yisrael from time to time. However, he died outside of Eretz Yisrael. They came and said to Rabbi Elazar that Ulla had passed away. He said: Woe for you Ulla, as through you a verse was fulfilled: “You shall die in an unclean land” (Amos 7:17). They said to him: But his coffin is coming for burial in Eretz Yisrael. He said to them: Even so, one who was absorbed by the soil of Eretz Yisrael while he was yet alive is not similar to one who was absorbed only after death.

ההוא גברא דנפלה ליה יבמה בי חוזאה אתא לקמיה דר’ חנינא א”ל מהו למיחת וליבמה

The Gemara relates with regard to a certain man from Eretz Yisrael that a yevama, i.e., a woman whose childless husband died and left a surviving brother, happened before him, the surviving brother, for levirate marriage. This yevama was living in the district of Bei Ḥoza’a, far away in southeast Babylonia. The man came before Rabbi Ḥanina and said to him: What is the halakha as to whether I may descend to Babylonia to enter into levirate marriage with this woman?

א”ל אחיו נשא כותית ומת ברוך המקום שהרגו והוא ירד אחריו

Rabbi Ḥanina said to him: His brother married a Samaritan woman [kutit] and died. Rabbi Ḥanina described the man’s late brother in these terms because he had left Eretz Yisrael to marry, and for the same reason he called his wife a Samaritan. Blessed be the Omnipresent who killed him. And yet the brother wishes to follow in his footsteps and descend after him? Better that he stay in Eretz Yisrael.

אמר רב יהודה אמר שמואל כשם שאסור לצאת מארץ ישראל לבבל כך אסור לצאת מבבל לשאר ארצות רבה ורב יוסף דאמרי תרוייהו אפילו מפומבדיתא לבי כובי ההוא דנפק מפומבדיתא לבי כובי שמתיה רב יוסף ההוא דנפק מפומבדיתא לאסתוניא שכיב אמר אביי אי בעי האי צורבא מרבנן הוה חיי

  • Rav Yehuda said that Shmuel said: Just as it is prohibited to leave Eretz Yisrael and go to Babylonia, so too, is it prohibited to leave Babylonia for any of the other lands. Rabba and Rav Yosef both say: Even to go from Pumbedita to Bei Kuvei, which is located beyond the border of Babylonia proper, is not permitted. The Gemara relates: A certain man left Pumbedita to live in Bei Kuvei, and Rav Yosef excommunicated him. A certain man left Pumbedita to live in Astonia, which also lay beyond the borders of Babylonia proper, and he died. Abaye said: Had this Torah scholar wanted, he would still be alive, as he could have stayed in Babylonia.

רבה ורב יוסף דאמרי תרוייהו כשרין שבבבל א”י קולטתן כשרין שבשאר ארצות בבל קולטתן למאי אילימא ליוחסין והאמר מר כל הארצות עיסה לארץ ישראל וארץ ישראל עיסה לבבל אלא לענין קבורה

Rabba and Rav Yosef both say: With regard to the worthy of Babylonia, Eretz Yisrael absorbs them; with regard to the worthy of other lands, Babylonia absorbs them. The Gemara asks: With regard to what matter did they issue this statement? If we say that they were referring to matters of lineage, didn’t the Master say: Lineage of residents of all lands are muddled compared to that of Eretz Yisrael, and lineage of residents of Eretz Yisrael is muddled compared to that of Babylonia. This means that the lineage of Babylonians was purer than that of the residents of Eretz Yisrael. Rather, they taught this with regard to matters of burial, i.e., the worthy of Babylonia are buried in Eretz Yisrael.

אמר רב יהודה כל הדר בבבל כאילו דר בארץ ישראל שנאמר (זכריה ב, יא) הוי ציון המלטי יושבת בת בבל אמר אביי נקטינן בבל לא חזיא חבלי דמשיח תרגמה אהוצל דבנימין וקרו ליה קרנא דשיזבתא

Rav Yehuda said: With regard to anyone who resides in Babylon, it is as though he is residing in Eretz Yisrael, as it is stated: “Ho Zion, escape, you who dwells with the daughter of Babylon” (Zechariah 2:11). This verse equates the two countries. Abaye said: We have a tradition that Babylonia will not see the pangs of the Messiah, i.e., it will be spared the suffering that will be prevalent at the time of his arrival. Abaye interpreted this statement in reference to the city of Hutzal deVinyamin in Babylonia, and as a result people call it Karna deShizavta, Horn of Salvation, as its residents will not endure the travails of the time of the Messiah.

א”ר אלעזר מתים שבחוץ לארץ אינם חיים שנאמר (יחזקאל כו, כ) ונתתי צבי בארץ חיים ארץ שצביוני בה מתיה חיים שאין צביוני בה אין מתיה חיים

  • Rabbi Elazar said: The dead of the lands outside of Eretz Yisrael will not come alive and be resurrected in the future, as it is stated: “And I will set glory [tzvi] in the land of the living” (Ezekiel 26:20). This teaches that with regard to a land which contains My desire [tzivyoni], its dead will come alive; however, with regard to a land which does not contain My desire, i.e., outside of Eretz Yisrael, its dead will not come alive.

מתיב ר’ אבא בר ממל (ישעיהו כו, יט) יחיו מתיך נבלתי יקומון מאי לאו יחיו מתיך מתים שבא”י נבלתי יקומון מתים שבחוץ לארץ ומאי ונתתי צבי בארץ חיים אנבוכד נצר הוא דכתיב דאמר רחמנא מייתינא עלייהו מלכא דקליל כי טביא

Rabbi Abba bar Memel raised an objection from a different verse: “Your dead shall live; my dead bodies shall arise” (Isaiah 26:19). What, is it not the case that the phrase “Your dead shall live” is referring to the dead of Eretz Yisrael, whereas the subsequent phrase “My dead bodies shall arise” is referring to the dead of the lands outside of Eretz Yisrael? And if so, what is the meaning of the verse “And I will set glory [tzvi] in the land of the living”? This verse is written with regard to Nebuchadnezzar, as the Merciful One states: I will bring upon you a king who is as swift as a deer [tzvi].

א”ל רבי מקרא אחר אני דורש (ישעיהו מב, ה) נותן נשמה לעם עליה ורוח להולכים בה ואלא הכתיב נבלתי יקומון ההוא בנפלים הוא דכתיב

Rabbi Elazar said to Rabbi Abba bar Memel: My teacher, I teach it from a different verse, as it is stated: “He gives breath to the people upon it, and spirit to they who walk there” (Isaiah 42:5). This indicates that the future resurrection is specifically for those who dwell in Eretz Yisrael. Rabbi Abba retorted: But isn’t it written: “My dead bodies shall arise”? How do you interpret this verse? Rabbi Elazar replied: That verse is not referring to those living outside Eretz Yisrael; rather, it is written with regard to stillborns, as they too will merit resurrection.

ורבי אבא בר ממל האי נותן נשמה לעם עליה מאי עביד ליה מיבעי ליה לכדרבי אבהו דאמר ר’ אבהו אפילו שפחה כנענית שבא”י מובטח לה שהיא בת העולם הבא כתיב הכא לעם עליה וכתיב התם (בראשית כב, ה) שבו לכם פה עם החמור עם הדומה לחמור

The Gemara asks: And what does Rabbi Abba bar Memel do with this verse “He gives breath to the people upon it”? The Gemara answers: He requires that verse for that which was taught by Rabbi Abbahu. As Rabbi Abbahu said: Even a Canaanite maidservant in Eretz Yisrael is assured a place in the World-to-Come. It is written here: “To the people [la’am] upon it,” and it is written there: “Abide you here with [im] the donkey” (Genesis 22:5). This verse in Genesis is traditionally interpreted to mean: A people [am] that is similar to a donkey, from which it may be inferred that even the members of this people merit a share in the world to come.

ורוח להולכים בה א”ר ירמיה בר אבא א”ר יוחנן כל המהלך ארבע אמות בארץ ישראל מובטח לו שהוא בן העולם הבא

With regard to the aforementioned verse “And spirit to they who walk there” (Isaiah 42:5), Rabbi Yirmeya bar Abba said that Rabbi Yoḥanan said: Anyone who walks four cubits in Eretz Yisrael is assured of a place in the World-to-Come.

The Gemara asks: And according to the opinion of Rabbi Elazar, will the righteous outside of Eretz Yisrael not come alive at the time of the resurrection of the dead? Rabbi Ile’a said: They will be resurrected by means of rolling, i.e., they will roll until they reach Eretz Yisrael, where they will be brought back to life. Rabbi Abba Salla Rava strongly objects to this: Rolling is an ordeal that entails suffering for the righteous. Abaye said: Tunnels are prepared for them in the ground, through which they pass to Eretz Yisrael.

(בראשית מז, ל) ונשאתני ממצרים וקברתני בקבורתם אמר קרנא דברים בגו יודע היה יעקב אבינו שצדיק גמור היה ואם מתים שבחוצה לארץ חיים למה הטריח את בניו שמא לא יזכה למחילות

Its erev shabot. With a simple arithmetical calculation one can see that we are now in the period of Erev Shabbot afternoon. Just as every week has an erev Shabbos when we prepare for Shabbos, so does the world have its Erev Shabbot when the world prepares for it’s own Shabbot. Just as the world was created in six days, with the seventh day being Shabbot. so this world exists for six thousand years, with the seventh thousandth year (called the seventh millennia) being the Shabbot of the world. With a simple arithmetical calculation one can see that we are now in the period of Erev Shabbot afternoon. The sixth day started in 1240 C.E. with the first 500 years being the night time period, since in Judaism the evening precedes the morning. The morning started in 1740 c.e. and noon time was 1990 C.E. The secular year 1740 and there about marks the introduction of new philosophies of equality. 1740 C.E. corresponds to the year 5500 from creation, which is actually the dawn of the Erev Shabbot of the world. What does this mean? We Know, Moshiach ben David will not come until all the measurements are equal (Sanhedrin 98). The Vilna Gaon explained this to mean that before Moshiach ben David will come there must be both economic and social equality (see Kol HaTor pp. 34-35). In other words, equality, is a prerequisite for the coming of Moshiach ben David, and it must be in the world before Moshiach ben David comes. Hashem therefore brought these emanations of the redemptive powers, amongst them liberty and equality, into the world. They are meant to be used to make a perfected society as portrayed by shmittah and yovel which alleviate poverty and homelessness. Just as weekly we must prepare for Shabbot, so the Zohar (Parshas VeYera p.117) says that in the world’s Erev Shabbot, the world is also preparing for it’s Shabbot, which is in the Seventh Millenia. There is a lot to do before Shobot. According to Targum Yonoson, Yeshayahu informs us that if we are meritorious we will be the ones to welcome Moshiach who will only afterwards appear to the rest of the world. If, however, we are not deserving, then Moshiach will appear first to the gentiles, who will then inform us of his arrival, as it says, “Behold, your salvation has come”   In the Talmud tractate Sanhedrin on page 97a it is written that “The world will exist for 6000 years, and then will be desolation for 1000 years”. We are now in the Biblical year 5778, that’s only 222 years before 6000. It is written in the midrash there shell be many resurrections of the Dead. The sadeekem in Arerz Yisrael will resurrect first. The first of these resurrections shall occur 40 years after the “exiles have been gathered”. The sages say all of these resurrections shall occur over a period of between 210-214 years.  It is know that the Messiah will be revealed before these resurrections and this must be well before 6000 so His revelation can not be that far away. History, according to the Talmud, will only last 6,000 years.

According to the Zohar in the last 210-­‐214 years God will resurrect those who merit to live during Techiyas HaMeisim the period of time know as, “The Resurrection of the Dead.” also called “Olam Haba, the World to Come.

According to the Zohar this period follows the Messianic Era. It will begin in the year 2026 CE, according to Rebi Yitzchak, and in 2030 CE, according to Rebi Yehudah. According to both opinions this will be after 40 years of ingathering of exiles. This makes the beginning

of period called “Kibbutz Goliot” (ingathering of exiles), according to Rebi Yitzchak, in 1986, and according to Rebi Yehudah, 1990—and part of the Messianic Era.

The question is, if this is true, then why doesn’t history already look and act this way?

The truth is, Moshe Rabbeinu asked God the same question in his time. After demanding the release of the Jewish people and causing the slavery to get worse and not better, he took the issue up with God:

God! Why have You harmed this people? Why have You sent me? Since I have come to Pharaoh to speak in Your Name he has harmed this people, and You have not saved Your people.”

Not much different then today. It looked bad in Egypt too, so bad to so many that 80 percent of the Jews in Egypt did not want to go out of Exile to the Holy land with Moses. They chose to remain in Egypt, they thought that would be better. That did not work out well those 80 percent died in the plague of Darkness ! I hope they get it right this time

BEFORE THE REDEMPTION !

The Ramchal teaches us in Mimor HaIkarim that Israel is designated and destined to attach unto God and to be crowned with holiness. There will come a time when “The Shechinah” (The Divine Presence ) will dwell upon the Jewish people and attach itself unto them. That is what the prophet Isaiah refers to when he says, “And they will say on that day, ‘Behold, this is our God whom we hoped for ! …. Let us rejoice and be happy with His deliverance!’” (Isaiah 25:9). It begins with the Messianic Era, followed by The Resurrection of the Dead, which begins the World to Come . We will achieve all this the Ramchal assures us, sometime before the year 6,000 this will all unfold for sure. This means sometime within the next 224 years! The world will then be transformed as spoken of above, into a new reality. In this reality the deserving will delight in God’s presence with absolute delight that there are not even words to describe now !.This is how it will all come to pass : In the time to come a descendant of King David will be seen to be the true Moshiach (Messiah). The prophet discribes this as, “A shoot will spring forth from the stem of Jesse, and a twig will sprout from his roots. And the spirit of YHV”H will rest upon him, a spirit of wisdom and understanding, a spirit of counsel and heroism, a spirit of knowledge and the fear of YHV”H . He will be animated by the fear of YHV”H, and neither with the sight of his eyes will he judge, nor with the hearing of his ears will he chastise. He will judge the poor justly, chastise with fairness the humble of the earth, he will smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he will put the wrongful to death…. The land will be full of knowledge of  YHV”H as water covers the sea bed. And it will come to pass on that day, that the root of Jesse, which stands as a banner for all peoples, to him shall the nations inquire, and his peace shall be with honor” (Isaiah 11:1-4, 9-10).

 

Rabbi Judah Ben Samuel of the 12th century who made some astonishing and specific predictions about the future of Jerusalem and Israel that came true.

Judah Ben Samuel, also known as Judah he-Hasid (Judah the Pious), Said that : “When the Ottomans (Turks) conquer Jerusalem they will rule over Jerusalem for eight jubilees. Afterwards Jerusalem will become no-man’s land for one jubilee, and then in the ninth jubilee it will once again come back into the possession of the Jewish nation – which would signify the beginning of the Messianic end time.”

One jubilee is 50 years (Leviticus 25). It is the 50th year after seven times seven years, the year in which each person should regain ownership of his or her land. Ben Samuel’s calculations were purely theoretical; there was absolutely no sign at that time of their being fulfilled. He himself was not able to experience their fulfillment, for it was only 300 years after his death that the first of his predictions were to come true.

The Mamluks, who had been reigning in Jerusalem since 1250, were conquered in 1517 by the Ottoman Turks. They remained for eight jubilees (8 x 50 = 400 years), that is to say they were in Jerusalem for 400 years. Exactly 400 years later, in 1917, the Ottoman Turks were conquered by the British. The League of Nations conferred the Mandate for the Holy Land and Jerusalem to the British. Thus, from 1917, under international law, Jerusalem was no-man’s land.

Then, when Israel captured Jerusalem in the Six Day War of 1967, exactly one jubilee (50 years) after 1917, Jerusalem reverted to Jewish-Israeli ownership once again. Thereby, according to the prophecies of Judah Ben Samuel, the Messianic End Times began.

Ben Samuel was often called “Light of Israel.” Even bishops came to him for advice. If anyone asked him where his wisdom came from he would answer, “The prophet Elijah, who will precede the Messiah, appeared to me and revealed many things to me and emphasized that the precondition for answered prayer is that it is fueled by enthusiasm and joy for the greatness and holiness of God.”

The rabbi also prophesied that during the ninth Jubilee Jerusalem would be a “no-man’s land.” This is exactly what happened from 1917 to 1967, due to the fact that the Holy Land was placed under British Mandate in 1917 by the League of Nations and literally “belonged” to no nation.

Even after Israel’s war of independence in 1948-49, Jerusalem was still divided by a strip of land running right through the heart of the city, with Jordan controlling the eastern part of the city and Israel controlling the western part of the city. That strip of land was considered and even called “no-man’s land” by both the Israelis and the Jordanians.

It was not until the Six Day War in 1967 when the entire West Bank of the Holy Land was conquered by the Israeli army that the whole city of Jerusalem passed back into the possession of Israel. So once again the prophecy made by the rabbi 750 years previously was fulfilled to the letter.

It certainly would be significant if both 1917 and 1967 were Jubilee years, considering the significance of what happened in Jerusalem on those years. But it gets even more interesting, because Judah Ben Samuel also prophesied that during the 10th Jubilee Jerusalem would be under the control of the Jews and the Messianic “end times” would begin. If he’s right, the 10th Jubilee began in 1967 and will be concluded in 2017

The Zohar says concerning this verse that it describes what is equivalent to the killing of the first born in Egypt. Hashem will come from Bazrah. Just like the world’s hosts went to war against Yerushalym from Bazrah (1st Temple). The children of Edom threw down the walls of the (2nd) Temple. Hashem will put on robes of Vengeance to punish Edom. The mountains will be filled with the dead of the nations. 2 In Pesicta, Rabbi Brachyah tells us this verse refers to the fate of Edom’s (Rome’s) heavenly counterpart, God will one day put on garments of vengeance to chastise Edom for having destroyed his house and burnt his temple and driven the community of Israel into the exile of the nations. When we check dating of events of Galut (exile) of Bavel in Jewish chronology against secular dating,

we find a striking discrepancy

of 163 years (We are 163 years

beyond the given Hebrew date):

Destruction of the 1st Beit HaMikdash Temple

Secular Dating: 3338 (423BCE)

Jewish Dating: 3175 (586BCE)

According to the rabbinic chronology of Rabbi Yose b. halafta in his work, Seder Olam Rabbah, Nebuchadnezzar destroyed the temple of Solomon in the year 421 BCE instead of 586 BCE by western academic chronology. Cyrus (Koresh) the Great conquered Babylon in 539 BCE and by the Jewish calendar it was the year 368 BCE. Two years later, according to the rabbis, Xerses (aka Ahashverosh / Ahasuerus) who ruled over Persia between 366 – 352 BCE married and ruled with Esther as his queen, while western academic chronology gives the reign of Xerses as 486-465 BCE.

Thus according to the secular dating we are less than 63 years from the 1000 years of desolation. Which is referring to a completely different kind of word, it will make this world a desolation compared to what will be then. Maybe the Prophets and sages wanted to hide the true date so people would make repentance out of free will and not because they were running out of time ! BUT THERE IS MORE

The Supernal Bride is the Shechinah and is called Shanah” [ Year]. The Solar year consists of 365 days, the Lunar year consists of 354 days, the same amount as the numerical value of the word “שנה” ( if we add a “collel”). ]The repair of the supernal bride is  through  12 angels. The Supernal Bride  is Malchut , the Bride has no happiness except when Z”A, her husband gladdens Her body in the secret of Yichud [unification], and her ‘repairs’ The Tzaddik is the one who gladdens Her. He is Yesod, through him, Her body and face are repaired. The Yesod is called נק”י  [clean] .The “sadeek” is the groom if he is נק”י  he will not to have to toil in worldly matters  things that wouldl take him away from gladdening her but he will occupy in Torah so to gladden her, and he will be free of every pressure so they will find happiness above and below, and  awaken happiness above. Through the happiness of the Bride below there will be happiness to the Bride above. Happy are those in this world, and happy are those in the world to come.

We add a extra month of Adar on some years , Adar is the last month of the year according to the Torah. The God kindly gives us a month of more time when the months of the year are coming to a end. According to the rules of the calendar, and Torah law all holidays, birthdays and anniversaries of deaths that take place in Adar are celebrated during a leap year in Adar 2, except we celebrate in Adar I the births and deaths of people who were actually born or died during Adar I when it was a leap year. The extra month of Adar in a leap year is outside of our normal time frame, mostly being additional in quality. It is the God giving us more time, use it wisely.

When GOD was going to destroy the 2nd Temple Rabbi Yochanon ben Zakkia went to Vaspasian the Roman Emperor and said “Let the righteous flee, and have a safe place of refuge in Yavnah”. At that time the government of Isreal was much like it is today a puppet state of western influence, and not a true Torah Nation.

A couple parsha back it said  “ If you go to war in your land against an enemy who oppresses you, then you shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and you shall be remembered before Yhv”h Elohech”a, and you shall be saved from your enemies “ (Bamidbar 10:9) Meaning when evil is close we must negate it by loud spiritual service, real zeal in serving GOD. This is reflected by the action of Pinchas in our parsha. By the zealousness of his actions the judgment against us bringing death to thousands by a plague was stoped. The whole world now is threatened by Islamic extremists. We daily are facing enemies in our Holy land now, so we are required to harness this zeal. We must do our best to fight off judgment by adding more and more to Holiness each day with greater purity.

In this weeks parsha the worlds most accurate astrologer Balak, who knew the times most efficient to curse others. Worked with Billam the worlds best black magician to curse Yisrael. But things did not work at all as Balak  would have liked. This time Billam could not comply with Balak’s request. As a matter of fact the great magician Billam would be put in his rightful place. As we see GOD opened the mouth of Billam’s donkey causing it to speak, in a similar way He also put words in Billam’s mouth. GOD opened the eyes of Billam’s donkey so he could see an angel holding a sword standing in the road blocking their way, which Billam could not see. This man that Balak brought to slay his enemy with his words , is shown that he can’t even kill his own donkey. As Billam said to his donkey “If a had a sword I would slay you”.  So why did Billam go with Ballak who, wanted him to curse Yisrael, after GOD told Billam “ You shall not curse these people for they are blessed” ?. He went becouse of self love. His blinding arrogance and pride would not allow him to say “I can’t do it”. We should learn from this also just how dangerous arrogance, pride and self love may be. Know, despite their evil intents GOD can turn the evil intent of the wicked to a blessing for Yisreal. No matter how bad it may look. We saw this recently with The disengagement from Gaza and the destruction of the Gush Katif  Jewish settlements. By this was created a pure terrorist state at Israel’s border. The Hamas takeover of Gaza fulfills Israel’s wildest dreams. The Hamas rule brands the Palestinians as terrorists, shows them incapable of statehood and hostile to Israel, and removes the peace process from the agenda. It is time the Israeli government stop supplying their sworn enemies with water, electricity and food. Let their patron state Iran build for them power plants and water desalination plants, instead of giving them weapons. Now is the time to seal the Palestinian entity off and deal with it as with enemy a state: ban Palestinian migrant workers, stop issuing any visas to Palestinians, block all shipments, and wage total war when attacked.  The “black” day Balak intended for Yisrael turned to a day of blessings. Billam was forced by GOD to speak blessing which lead to messianic revelation !  May we see “ A star go forth from Yisrael” with revelation of our righteous mashiach quickly in our days.

The Temple Mount

Years have passed since the death of the Chief Rabbi of Israel, the Gaon, Rabbi Shlomo Goren ztz’l. In these days, when Har Habayit (the Temple Mount) is in the headlines, it is worth quoting segments from his book “Har Habayit”, published a year before his death. In his book, he investigates in detail the site of the Mikdash (Holy Temple) and the azarot (Temple courtyards), areas that are forbidden to enter even after immersion in a mikveh (a bath used for the purpose of ritual immersion in Judaism), and areas that Jews are permitted to enter after immersion.

The time was the days of the second Rabin government, which conducted agreements with the PLO terrorist organization, and handed over parts of the Land of Israel to our enemies. In his introduction to the book he wrote: “Currently, when Jewish sovereignty over the Temple Mount is in danger, Mount Moriah is liable to become the subject of negotiation between us and the Arabs, and unfortunately, there are politicians who are willing to negotiate our sovereignty over the Temple Mount, relying on the alleged prohibition of the Chief Rabbinate to enter Har Habayit. This prohibition is liable to be used as an excuse to hand over the nation’s Kodesh ha’Kodashim (inner sanctum) to the Muslims. Therefore, I decided to publish the book now, from which it will be proven that there are large areas of the Temple Mount which all Jews are permitted to enter, according to all halakhic opinions, after immersion in a mikveh…”(p.15).

The Reasons for the ‘Heter’


Rabbi Goren:’… the key to our sovereignty over Judea, Samaria and Gaza is the Temple Mount.’
The Temple Mount is composed of two areas. The first, which is the smallest area, includes the site of the Holy Temple and the courtyards, and is called machaneh shechina (the inner azara), which nowadays is forbidden to enter because we cannot be cleansed from tumat met (defilement of the dead). The second area, which includes the majority of the Temple Mount, is called machaneh levia, and it is permitted to enter these areas today after immersion. Indeed, in the years preceding the establishment of the State of Israel the rabbis, including Rabbi Kook ztz’l, instructed us not to enter the Temple Mount at all, for fear that people might go beyond the permitted areas and enter forbidden places.

Three factors prompted Rabbi Goren to permit going up to the majority of areas on the Temple Mount: 1) the precise mapping of the Temple Mount conducted by the I.D.F. Engineer Corps under his orders after the liberation of the Temple Mount; with these maps, it was possible to accurately determine which areas were permitted to enter according to all halakhic opinions. 2) The many testimonies that for more than a thousand years after the destruction of the Holy Temple, Gedolei Yisrael (eminent rabbis) used to pray on the Temple Mount in the permitted areas. 3) The threat to Jewish sovereignty on the Temple Mount.

It is possible that one of the motivations for placing the warning signs not to enter the Temple Mount might have been so as not to provoke the Muslims when the British ruled Israel, and in events of riots, did not properly protect the Jews.

Lowering Ourselves to the Kotel – The Result of the Sufferings of Exile

Rabbi Goren wrote about his feelings after the Six Day War: “I could not escape the feeling that from a historic perspective, assigning the Western Wall plaza for Jewish prayer was nothing but the result of the expulsion of the Jews from the Temple Mount by the Crusaders and Muslims together. Thus, an intolerable situation was created in which even after our liberation of the Temple Mount, the Muslims remained on top of Har Habayit, and we were down below; they were inside, and we were outside.

The prayers at the Western Wall are a symbol of destruction and exile, and not of liberation and redemption, because Jewish prayers at the Western Wall began only in the sixteenth century – before that, Jews prayed for centuries on the Temple Mount … only about three hundred years ago, the Jews began praying at the Western Wall. And this the proof: in every reference in the Midrash where it is mentioned that the shechina (Divine Presence) has not moved from the Western Wall, and learns this from the verse in Shir Hashirim (Song of Songs): ‘Behold! There he stands behind our wall’ – this refers to the western wall of the azara, or the wall of the heichal, in other words, the wall of the Kodesh HaKodashim, and not the wall of the Har Habayit, which we call the Western Wall”(pg. 26).

The Necessity to Ascend from the Western Wall to Har Habayit

However, the intensity of the minhag (custom) based on over three centuries was considerable, and therefore after the Six Day War, the public at large thronged to the Western Wall to pray. Rabbi Goren himself wrote that one of the things that prevented him from acting quickly to regulate the ascent of Jews to the Temple Mount was his being “bound by the ‘chains of love’ for the remnant of our Holy Temple, the Western Wall, where I used to pray every Shabbat, holiday, and Rosh Chodesh evenings. Since my first visit to the Western Wall (as a child), my love and emotional affinity for the Wailing Wall has not faded… “,”but our shout …Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord”… aroused him to become stronger and clarify the heter to ascend Har Habayit (pg. 14). Consequently, he began organizing prayers on the Temple Mount (ibid, pg. 27).

The Canceled Prayer

Before the Shabbat following Tisha B’Av in 1967, Rabbi Goren publicly announced a mass, gala prayer to be held on the Temple Mount in the areas where entrance was permitted after immersion. However, by the orders of Prime Minister and Defense Minister the prayer was canceled. A few days later, the ministerial committee decided that the Defense Minister and the Chief of Staff order the Chief Rabbi of the I.D.F., Rabbi Goren, not to arrange any more prayers on the Temple Mount (pg. 29-30).

The Shock

The order shocked Rabbi Goren, and he tried everything within his power to cancel it, including writing a long and detailed letter to the ministerial committee, in which he argued: How is it possible that precisely in the holiest place for Jews, it is forbidden for them to pray?! True, there are a limited amount of areas in which entrance is forbidden according to the Torah for Jews and Gentiles alike, but entrance to the majority of the Temple Mount is permitted. Towards the end of his letter, he called out: “Distinguished men! Save the Holy of Holies of the Jewish nation; do not hand over the Temple Mount to those who defile it …” (pp 30-33).

The Defense Minister

Unfortunately, Rabbi Goren’s call went unanswered. Defense Minister Moshe Dayan decided to transfer the responsibility for managing the Temple Mount arrangements to the Waqf, and ordered the Military Rabbinate to evacuate Har Habayit, and not to interfere in matters concerning the Temple Mount any more. Rabbi Goren responded with “rage and sorrow”, informing the Defense Minister that “this, God forbid, could lead to the destruction of the Third Temple, for the key to our sovereignty over Judea, Samaria and Gaza is the Temple Mount” (page 34).

Nevertheless, the Defense Minister implemented one of the most shameful acts in the history of Israel, and handed over the affairs of the Temple Mount to the Muslim Waqf. For many years it was known that Moshe Dayan had both a dark and a light side jumbled together. On the one hand, he was a Jewish military hero, but on the other hand, an adulterer and a thief. Apparently, his adultery and thievery tipped the scales against him. That is when he began to lose his public status. His name go down in infamy.

Sovereignty

Still, when the Muslims closed the Mughrabi Gate to prevent Jews from entering the Temple Mount, at the request of Rabbi Goren, the I.D.F. broke through the gate to ensure free entry for Jews, thereby expressing sovereignty over the Temple Mount. However, this act did not change the order prohibiting Jewish prayer on the Temple Mount.

Rabbi Goren goes on to relate: “Whenever I warned about handing over of the Holy of Holies of the Jewish nation to the Waqf, the response of consecutive Prime Ministers was: ‘Look, in any case the Chief Rabbinate forbids Jews from ascending the Temple Mount, and we are prohibited from praying there.” As a result, he decided to write the book and explain the ways, places, and conditions under which it is permitted to enter the Temple Mount (pg. 35). Consequently “we must utilize to the fullest all sides of the heter, so we can demonstrate continuous Jewish presence there, and maintain Jewish sovereignty over the Mount, like the apple of our eye” (pg. 46).

The Chief Rabbinate’s Sign

It has been claimed that during his tenure as Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Goren agreed to the prohibition of entering the Temple Mount, but this is not true. In the introduction to his book, he wrote: “During my tenure as Chief Rabbi of Israel, I brought a proposal to the Council of the Chief Rabbinate to remove the signs banning entrance to the Temple Mount as determined by the previous Chief Rabbis. Because there were a few members on the Council who had signed on the ban at the time, they requested delaying the decision to remove the signs prohibiting going up to Har Habayit until after I published the book …” For various reasons, the books’ publication was delayed, and the signs remained in place, “which, in effect, led to the handing over of Har Habayit to the Muslim Waqf” (ibid pg. 35).

Desecration of the Holy

Moreover, he wrote: “This shameful situation, where under Israeli rule a Jew does not have the right to pray on the mountain of God, cannot be tolerated under any circumstances. The debate over where it is permitted according to Jewish law to go on the Temple Mount, or where it is forbidden, has nothing to do with the government … These sacred places are not the private property of the Muslim Waqf, whose members have always been a source of bitterness and poison for the Jews, with their incitement from within the mosques on the Temple Mount to slaughter the Jews… had they closed the Temple Mount to Jews and non-Jews alike, I would have kept quiet, but to allow the Arabs to do there as they please while Jews are forbidden to even open up a Book of Psalms and pour out their hearts before the Creator of the world – this is a religious, historical, and legal scandal – nothing short of blasphemy! “(pg. 41).

He further added (pg. 42) that by abstaining from going up to the Temple Mount, the Torah prohibition of ‘lo techonem’ (‘nor be gracious to them’), which may also be rendered ‘do not allow them to settle on the soil’ (Avoda Zara 20a) is transgressed, seeing as the poskim (Jewish law arbiters) have already established that the loss of sovereignty is similar to destruction (B.Y. and M.A., O.C. 561:1). Thus, when the government forbids Jews to go up freely, it destroys the place of our Holy Temple yet again.

The Words of Rabbi Tzvi Yehuda HaKohen Kook

Our teacher and guide, Rabbi Tzvi Yehudah HaKohen Kook, agreed with the poskim who prohibited going up to Har Habayit. But in my humble opinion, it seems that had he known that the over- cautiousness of going up to Har Habayit would result in the loss of sovereignty and turning the Temple Mount into a focal point of hatred against Israel – he would have agreed with Rabbi Goren that it is permitted and a mitzvah to go up. In addition, in my humble opinion, he would have trusted Rabbi Goren’s halakhic inquiries in regards to the areas permitted to enter.

Blessed are Those Who Ascend the Temple Mount

The continuation of the disgraceful situation on the Temple Mount brings our enemies hope, and motivates them to kill and riot throughout the country. In order to suppress the wave of terrorism and incitement from its roots, the government and the police must assert Israeli sovereignty over the Temple Mount in the most decisive manner.

Blessed are those who go up to Har Habayit, but only if that is done according to halakha. Thanks to them, our sovereignty over the Temple Mount and all of the Land of Israel becomes clearer, and precisely as a result of this, we will merit security and peace.

In Zacharia 9:16 we find the promise of God to rebuild the Holy Temple in Jerusalem

לָכֵן כֹּהאָמַר יְהוָה, שַׁבְתִּי לִירוּשָׁלִַם בְּרַחֲמִים בֵּיתִי יִבָּנֶה בָּהּ, נְאֻם יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת; וקוה (וְקָו) יִנָּטֶה עַליְרוּשָׁלִָם”

Therefore thus said YHVH: I return to Jerusalem with compassions: My house shall be built in it, said the LORD of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth over Jerusalem”

The line is the energy feed from the supernal Binah (Emination of Divine Understanding) to Jerusalem, which is Malchut (Emination that spreads out revelation of God’s will in the World, his Kingship) It is the same place as when Jacob ‘hit the place’ וַיִּפְגַּע בַּמָּקוֹם” Genesis (28:11) ” This is where Jacob had his dream and saw the Ladder going up to Heaven,  the place is the point where the Line from above meets in Jerusalem. The line = “קו” is found between the first Mem מ and the Final Mem ם.

In Zechariah 3:8, 9

שְׁמַענָא יְהוֹשֻׁעַ הַכֹּהֵן הַגָּדוֹל, אַתָּה וְרֵעֶיךָ הַיֹּשְׁבִים לְפָנֶיךָ–כִּיאַנְשֵׁי מוֹפֵת, הֵמָּה: כִּיהִנְנִי מֵבִיא אֶתעַבְדִּי, צֶמַח.

Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you and your fellows that sit before you; for they are men that are a sign; for, behold, I will bring forth my servant, Tzemach.

כִּי הִנֵּה הָאֶבֶן, אֲשֶׁר נָתַתִּי לִפְנֵי יְהוֹשֻׁעַ–עַלאֶבֶן אַחַת, שִׁבְעָה עֵינָיִם; הִנְנִי מְפַתֵּחַ פִּתֻּחָהּ, נְאֻם יְהוָה צְבָאוֹת, וּמַשְׁתִּי אֶתעֲוֹן הָאָרֶץהַהִיא, בְּיוֹם אֶחָד.”

The servant that God promises to bring is the Messiah. The stone is the same stone that Jacob slept on when he ‘hit the place’. It has the connection to the 7 lower Sefirot  (Chesed –   represents love, giving, or mercy, Gevurah –   · Gevurah is sometimes also called “Din”, and means “judgment.”,Tiferet , Tiferet is powers of beauty and balance. , Netzach –   , Netzach stands for limitless energy, great quantity, endurance, and victory.,Hod –  , Hod represents contained energy that which is clearly defined.  It is very specific flow. Yesod  serves as a gateway for a certain quantity and quality of these Divine powers can enter the world, Malchut is the Emination that spreads out revelation of God’s will in the World, His Kingship)  and it exists on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. God will create a opening to the light of Chuchmah (Divine creative Wisdom) and remove all negativity in one day and bring the final and lasting peace.

Let us pray to have the merit to see the fulfillment of this prophecy Today, Amen.

It will come, to those “alive” cleaving

It says in the parsha “You who cleave in YHV”H  Elohech”a are alive this day”. So we see it is by cleaving in GOD that we are given, draw life force. To recieve this life force by cleaving we make attachment  to GOD through the mitzvot. As the root of the word mitzvah means attachment. Yisrael are born from the ”house of GOD”. Here they cleave in ” the portion of יהו”ה is His people”. So they may inherit what is fit for them of Torah and mitzvot from treasury of GOD this is their crown. This treasury is from the 32 paths Chuchmah. 1 Serve from the love of GOD in your Teffila with all your heart and all your soul. Spill out your soul in teffila and cleave to him. This is all to your good love the “midah” called מ”ה. In it are hidden the 100 blessings.

Walk in all yours way so to invite to receive flow of the way. These are then supernal days.2 Rabbi Avraham Abulafia teaches in Aor haSachel that the חושק (desire) that is given in the heart of desire is a witness to the the love of הו”א . If from between 2 loves she (the soul) has within one being the intellect from partnership with GOD, and the intellect of man. They are one as the Name is one. Becouse of the חבור (union) in the existence of the nature of man with the existence of אלהו (his God) in time he has comprehension in intellect. In this power man is able to connect below and cleave in the עליון (supernal) and bring it down. The thing he raises up calling out recieves a kiss. As the groom kisses the bride in much great desire. And He is delighted both by the desire and the power of the name.3 If a man gives his heart and dat to the fear of GOD, behold the letters of יהו”ה cleave in his heart. One who merits this has no lack. But if his heart lacks fear of GOD, the letters of יהו”ה are far from him. This is the greatest possible lack. This is what it means “Make Me a migdosh (temple), and I will dwell in them”. One sanctifies their heart so as to have dwell in it יהו”ה.4 All the power GOD gives to  man by his Dat, his power of speech and intellect, this is GOD’s place in the world.5


Its also written in the parsha “Guard and do the commandments this is you wisdom in the eyes of the nations.” This reminds us that their ways are not our ways our wisdom is prescribed in the Torah. We sanctify GOD’s name by being a light to the nations by acting according to the Torah. We must not be like a dog who looks to the nations as its master and is always trying to find favor before them. As the Israeli government does when killing the people of Sderot by Hamas hands to continue appeasing the Quartet. (only after responding with strong military force in Gazza did the rocket assault stop) Or their abandoning the Grave of our forefather Yosef to the Arabs. Or refusing to let Jews live on our holy Land ,or even worse kicking jews out of there homes and giving the land over to arab terrorists. Surely these disgusting things are only a desecration of our Holy Torah. We can not have leaders in this country that act as such.


If we cleave to GOD and we work to have leaders of our nation that are true to GOD we shall see as the Prophet Michah describes this time ” I will make her the remnant halted, daughter of Zion, to you shall it come. There will come the first government, the kingdom to the daughter of Jerusalem. Now why does she cry badly, because she has no king, and her counselor has perished?  For pangs have taken you as a woman in labor.  Be in pain and labor to bring forth, oh daughter of Zion ”.  (4:7 – 10) The Maharol of Prague Wrote that in the future the messianic king will establish a new kingdom which will emerge from the first kingdom which will precede it. It is as a unripe fruit grows in a peel till the fruit is ripe, then the peel decays. And as it says in our parsha “you will be a Holy people am segulah” (Nation treasured by God). With the arrival of our Mashiach Quickly.

How a few of the Laws work

This is the longest parsha in the holy Torah. What is its great significance ?. This parsha has hidden within it is the format that will bring out righteous mashiach. Let us look closer. It says in the song of songs “The voice of the turtle is heard in our land”. The Zohar tells us the turtle is mashiach . As the parsha takes a long time to read, it takes the turtle long a long time to get there. As the day of Atonement may seem like a long day and creating the ashes, and water of purification of the Red Heifer is a long process. But as said by the Cohen Gadol on Yom Kipor “I shall sprinkle water on you and you shall be clean. Just as a fountain renders unclean clean so does Hashem make Yisrael clean”. May we all receive this water as the Torah is known as water.

In this parsha the first mention is to the family of the Levi, and their duties. It is by the duties of the Cohanaim that Yisrael is able to reach atonement through them. This is reflected in the service of Yom Kipor as first the Cohen Gadol offers a bullock as a sin offering for himself and his family. Then he can bring a goat as a sin offering to atone for all Yisrael. In the parsha after the explanation of the Levi and Cohen’s duties then laws are given concerning the purity of the camp. As by their duties as said before all Yisrael reach atonement.  Next are listed  the service of the sin offering, the sotah (test-adultery offering) and the mitzvah of the Nazir. Then are given instructions for the blessing by the Coheniam. The blessings which one may receive from Hashem are infinite. So lets look at the 2 mitzvot that precede the blessing of the Coheniam as a source of guidance as preparation so to receive the blessing of Hashem. Concerning the mitzvah sotah (adultery offering). Sotah in the Holy tongue literally means “to go astray, to be demented and foolish”. This is similar to what the Fredica Rebbe said “ A Jew acting in any way other then fulfilling what the Torah asks of him is suffering from a illness”. Rebbe Manachem Mendell tells us that the adulterous women of mitzvah Sotah is representative of the sins of all Yisrael. As Yisrael is the wife to Hashem. Any sin we do Go-d forbid causes exile of the Shechina.

To get a deeper understanding of the mitzvah of Sotah lets look to gematria as the letters of Sotah have the same gematria as וחקרת (and search). If we exchange the letters of Sotah in atbash  it becomes אבנץ , in the month of אב both Temples were destroyed signifying a time of hardship, as the adulterer finds when she drinks the water. As the Gemora says that as the transgression starts in the thigh and ends in the womb, so does the punishment. Much like Avshalom who was caught up in the beauty of his hair, and took 10 of his father concubines. So he was killed with 10 lances and got caught up in a tree hung up by his hair. אב also means father as Hashem is everywhere even in the most severe corrections. The next 2 letter נץ means to sprout, flower and blossom. The time that the first light of a new day is revealed is called Netz. This all illudes to the blessing from the mitzvah of Sotah if the women did not sin, she being blessed with a Holy child. This all shows us as the Sotah may be displaced from her husband, and can prove herself and return in a moment. So can Yisrael on a ultimate level with the complete redemption. This is alluded to by the fact the Sotah is gematria 714 the same as ושחת (and spilled). This was when Onan spilled his seed refusing to fulfill the mitzvah of raising up seed with his dead brothers wife. From her lineage eventually comes Dovid haMelch, and will come Mashiach. 714 is also the gematria of הקטרת which is called “Holy of Holies”.

As the Sotah represents all transgression, the other mitzvah of our parsha the Nazir alludes to all sanctification as it says “You shall be Holy”. On a lower level the Nazerite vow was taken by people who felt prone toward illicit relations, but ultimately it was a way of ascending to receive spiritual gifts, prophesy. Permuting the letters of נזיר we have יר (to fear) זן (go astray). Fearing to go astray as said before was a reason for the Nazerite vow. Samuel the Prophet was a Nazir, peace unto him, also Shimshon. And all know of the spiritual strength that came through Shimshon’s hair. He was the strongest man who ever lived. The Nazerite vow is voluntary. We must chose to make ourselves holy. The mitzvah of the possible adulterer, is as a warning not to sin. As all sin is as harlotry.Nazir is gematria 267 the same as יראון (to see). May it be that by our sanctification in Holiness and Hashem’s great mercy that we will be able to see visions of Holiness with the arrival of our righteous mashiach quickly in our days.

  Rabbi Acha was walking with Rabbi Yehuda on the way. As they were walking, Rabbi Yehuda said it is written, “The virgin of Isreal is fallen; she shall no more rise” (Amos 5:2). I came to Rabbi Shimon with a darkened face. He said to me, from the look on your face what is in your heart is seen. I said to him, indeed my mouth and heart speak the same. He said to me, speak up. I said to him, it is written, “The virgin of Isreal is fallen; she shall no more rise.” So if a man who is angry with his wife and she goes away, she will never go back to him. If so, woe to the children who are exiled with her. He said to me, is what the friends said about this not sufficient to you? I said, I have heard what they say, and it is graceful. But my mind is not yet clear about it.


He said to me, woe to the generation where there are no shepherds, and the flock wanders and goes without knowing whither, neither right nor left. Assuredly this verse needs to be familiar, and everything is revealed to those who look through the way of the Torah in a true way. Come and see: For all the exiles of Isreal, He set a time and limit to them all.

God set a limit to the time period of all the exiles of the Jews, except the last. Concerning the first exile of the Hebrews. The Egyptian exile had been foretold to Abraham at the famous Covenant Between the Pieces (Genesis 15:13). “And God said to Avram: You must surely know that your offspring will sojourn in a foreign land; they will enslave them and hurt them for four-hundred years.” Ultimately, the Egyptians went “above and beyond the call of duty” in their fulfilment of “they will enslave and hurt them.” – “They embittered their lives with strenuous work (Shemos/Exodus 1:14). In the end, the Jews were in Egypt for only 210 years. It was the intensity of their subjugation that facilitated their premature emancipation.

Jeremiah prophesied the 70-year exile of Babylon, the first temple exile. (Jeremiah 25:1)

In them all, they turned to the Holy One, blessed be He, and the virgin of Isreal, returned to her place in the time decreed. On the last exile, it is not so, for she will not return as in the times of the other exiles. This verse teaches this, for it is written, “The virgin of Isreal is fallen; she shall no more rise” and not written, ‘is fallen; I shall no more raise her’.

There is an allegory of a king who was angry with the queen and cast her away from her palace for a certain time. At the appointed time, the queen immediately returned and came before the king. It happened so once, twice, thrice. On the last time, she went far away from the king’s palace and the king cast her from his palace for a long time. The king said, This time is different than other times. She will not come to me but I shall go together with all the retinue of my palace and seek her.

When he reached her, he saw her lying in the dust. Who has ever seen the glory of the queen at that time and the entreaties of the king before her? Eventually the king held her in his hands, raised her and brought her to his palace and swore to her that he would never separate from her again, nor stay away from her.

The Holy One, blessed be He, will do likewise. Whenever the Community of Isreal was in exile, when the time came, she returned and came before the King. But in this exile, the Holy One, blessed be He, Himself will hold her hands, raise her, reconcile Himself to her and bring her to His palace. Come and see: It is indeed so as written, “The virgin of Isreal is fallen; she shall no more rise” BY HERSELF. Therefore, it is written, “On that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen” (Amos 9:11). She will no more rise as in other times, but I shall raise her, SHE WILL NOT RISE OF HERSELF. This is why it is written, “On that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen.” I will raise up the tabernacle of David. What is the tabernacle of David? It is the virgin of Isreal “that is fallen,” as in the words: “is fallen.” It is to the glory of the virgin of Isreal and to her praise THAT SHE WILL NO MORE RISE OF HERSELF, BUT THE HOLY ONE, BLESSED BE HE, WILL RAISE HER. I have learned this at that time.

Rabbi Yehuda said, Surely you have persuaded me and it agrees with me. This is the explanation of this matter. This agrees with another explanation, which I have heard but forgotten, but now I have regained it. We learned what Rabbi Yosi said that the Holy One, blessed be He, will proclaim about the Community of Isreal saying, “Shake yourself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem” (Isaiah 52:2); namely, like one holding his friend’s hand, saying, Shake yourself and rise. So will the Holy One, blessed be He, hold her and say, Shake yourself, arise.

Rabbi Acha said to him: All the retinue of the King’s palace started also TO SPEAK TO HER in this language: “Arise, shine; for your light is come” (Isaiah 60:1), for the King is here. Surely then, when the King makes peace with her, it is her glory and the joy of everyone. On every occasion, she came before the King and rose before Him, as written, “And she came into the king’s presence, and stood before the king” (I Kings 1:28). This time it is not so, but the King will come to her and placate her and return her to His palace. Hence, it is written, “Behold, your king comes to you” (Zecharyah 9:9) and not you to him. He “comes to you” to pacify you and to raise you. He comes to you to perfect you in everything and He comes to you to raise you to His palace and join you in a CONSTANT everlasting union, as written, “And I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness” (Hosea 2:22).

This is referring to the ultimate redemption.

Exile is like widowhood, as in exile the Divine Presence must exist without her Husband (God). The Shechinah, descends into the lower worlds in order to sustain them.

If the Shechinah ” the Jewish people”— were not be in exile— they would be found unworthy of union with the God in the Holy land and they would have to die as did their brethren when 2 Temples stood. Therefore, God preferred that the Shechinah remain in exile. Rather than many dying.

Concerning exile Babylonia corresponds to the head, as it is written: “ are the head of gold.” Media and Persia correspond to the two arms, Greece corresponds to the body, and Edom and Ishmael correspond to the two legs. This is why the latter two exiles are long. The final stages of the exile as “ heels of the Messiah,” at that time it will be necessary to elevate the Divine sparks that have fell to the lowest places called, the the feet.

 In every generation a spark of the Messiah comes into the world. If the generation is worthy he is revealed as the Messiah. If not, he dies or is killed as a martyr, as happened to Rabbi Akiva in the time of Ben Koziva, and in many other cases we do not even know about.



The good to Come

Now we will look at what is to come in the future according to the vision given to us from the Creator by our beloved prophets. From this we will see the great good which our Beloved Creator wishes to bestow on the world, and on the nation of Israel in particular physically and spiritually. Then we will look at what the prophets have given to us as instruction for these later days to merit these blessings. I ask you my beloved friend to take to heart these teachings and act upon them immediately. Sharing them with those who have an ear to hear, as the hour is late. Now let us proceed with ” GREAT DAYS “, explanation and description of the Messianic revelation, these being words of consolation and comfort telling us of the time to come, the reward for the righteous. It is out of such great kindness that the largest parts of the writings of the Prophets are filled with messianic imagery,” Blessed is his Holy name because his kindness endures forever”. Now we shall look at Israel inheriting the land, the miracles, signs and wonders and the revelation of The Messiah in the messianic era.

The Prophet Isaiah states:

” For YHVH will have mercy on Jacob and will in addition choose Israel and will set them in their own land and the stranger shall be joined to them and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob ”     (14:1)

Rashi says concerning the phrase ” and will choose in addition Israel ” This refers to the time in the future when Hashem shall redeem Israel in a complete redemption. Metsudat David adds that Israel’s deliverance from the oppression of Bavel will seem a small thing compared to the redemption in the days of Messiah. As this will be a redemption off all Israel in a complete redemption, and also to everything that rests upon the earth. At this time converts will be added to Israel.

The personal providence of Hashem’s redemption of the Hebrew people from their troubles is described in the words of the prophet Malachi:

” For they who feared YHVH  spoke with one another and hearkened and heard it and a book of remembrance was written before him for those who feared YHVH and took heed of his name, and they shall be mine says YHVH. On that day I appoint as my particular day. I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him “.  (3:16-18)

Rabbi Avraham Ibn Ezra comments “Those who fear Hashem” are the Tsadekem, “they who heed his name” are the wise of heart that know the secret of the glorious and awesome name. In Perke de Rebbe Eleazer, Rabban Gamliel teaches the Heavens and earth are destined to pass away, as it is written ” And the Hosts of Heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll”. All the inhabitants shall taste the taste of death for two days. On the third day he shall renew them all and revive the dead. There shall be no more evil or plague. Now lets look at the detail that can be known with the help of Hashem. We get more of an overview of the wondrous protection Hashem affords Israel from the words of Isaiah:

”  In that day shall the plant of YHVH shall be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land shall be excellent and beautiful for those that remain of Israel. And it will come to pass that he that remains in Zion and He that remains in Jerusalem shall be called Holy, everyone in Jerusalem that is written to life. For YHVH will create upon every dwelling place of Mount Zion and upon her assemblies a cloud and smoke by day, and the shinning of a flaming fire by night. There shall be a marriage canopy and there shall be a Tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat and for a place of refuge and cover from the storm and from the rain ” (4:2-6)

The Radak explains that ” The plant ” this is Messiach. Rashi explains the fruit of the land are those Tsadekem who are the fruit of the Tree Of Life. The Radak says with the arrival of Messiach man will rejoice in the creation. Then Messiach will be victorious in the war against Gog. Then there will be Peace and quiet in the earth, and the world will be in awe. After this his genius and beauty will be revealed on the nations. Rashi says the  Chuppah (Marriage canopy) on the people will be the Shechinah. The Radak explains first there will be a cloud of glory of mercy in  Miscanot (Tabernacles), and in the Holy Temple. The Zohar says the Temple will be built before the exiles are gathered. So that the Shechinah first returns to the “mikdosh.” But if we are then only returning from exile the cloud of glory will be seen on the wise, great and Chassidim. In the day will be a cloud and burning and at night a glowing consuming fire, like there was with the tabernacle in the desert. The Vilna Goan explains that the smoke and glowing consuming fire is like at Mount Sinai during the giving of the Torah. The cloud prevents one from looking on the glory of Hashem as none can look and live. The Succah (tabernacle) will be shade by day to protect from the burning heat of the sun and from the sword. The Scoch (Roof of the Succah) will be the cloud of glory. Explaining further we turn to the Gomorra in Tractate Bava Metzia1 where Rabba says in the name of Rabbi Yochanan That the Holy one in the future will make a Succah for the righteous to protect from the sun, and it will be made of the skin of the Leviathan. If a man will be worthy a succah will be made for him, if not a mere covering, if He is not worthy of this a necklace will be made for him, if he doesn’t merit this a Amulet will be made for him. The rest of the Leviathan will be spread out over the hills of Jerusalem by the Holy One, and its splendor will shine from one end of the world to the other as it is written ” The nations shall rise in your light and kings in the brightness of your rising “

Also concerning the Leviathan Rabba said in the name of rabbi Yochanan The Holy one in the future will make a feast of the flesh of the Leviathan. Rav Dimi said in the name of Rabbi Yochanan the angel Gavreal will in the future hunt the leviathan, and if the Holy One does not help him, he will not be able to prevail over him.
