Sorry for the spacing but it would not go away
It cannot be expressed enough how transient our stay in this world is,
People live their days in this world like they are going to be here forever, but this is just not the case their body will eventually be left to rot in the ground. You “soul” is the “real” you so you better learn to live with it . As you body wont take you to far.
We can view a bit of this knowledge from the teaching of our sages in tractate Horayot-that a scholar takes precedence over a king of Israel. If a scholar dies, there is no one to replace him, but any in Israel can be king.25 We can see that the highest position in this physical world, that of being king, is of no value. The only thing that should be of concern is a concern of the soul.
It is the “Divine knowledge” of the wise man that lives forever, this directs his upright kind behavior. A Holy wise man who can call forth mercy from heaven is more valuable to the world then a king who is not a wise man, See how Moses so many times saved thousands of lives in the Bible by evoking Mercy. Many times the God makes a decree as he wants prayer from those who are below. Again if you dont ask you may not get.
Rabbi Eliezer and Rabbi Yochanan both teach that the Torah was given in forty days and the soul is formed in forty days, so that whoever keeps the Torah, his soul is kept; whoever does not, his soul is not kept, as is taught in tractate Menachot. 26
The soul is formed in the first 40 days a fetus is in the womb, before this it has no permanence in the body. So to to receive Torah (Divine Awareness) takes a considerable amount of effort and time. People can lose their soul in the next world if they pay no attention to its needs in this world.
This physical-spiritual interdependence is further clarified in the teaching of Elijah the Prophet, from whom we learn that if a man reads the Five Books of Moses, the Prophets, the Writings, Halachah (Law), Midrash (mystical writings,secrets of the Torah), and attends to the business of the yeshivah (house of Spiritual study), showing less concern for the business of the marketplace, the Holy One will say this world and the World to Come will be Mine and yours together, the Temple will be Mine and yours together.27 These things the Holy One wishes to share with us, as Rabbi Yitzchak teaches in tractate Menachot that men lure each other from the way of life to the way of death, but the Holy Blessed One lures one from death to life, out of the narrow mouth of Gehenom (hell), its mouth being so narrow to keep the smoke in though it is deep and large.28
again we can not stress how insignificant our stay in this world is, if you don’t recognize the work of your soul while you are here. Not only do you have to learn to connect to the source of your soul above to drawn down divine energy for the betterment of the world ,but also for you own personal growth. To reveal your higher soul powers you know not of. But here we are informed that mouth of Hell, its mouth being so narrow to keep the smoke in though it is deep and large. This is telling us that the way to hell is not always obvious. One must be careful where they walk, their path could God forbid take them down. Know Hell is like a washing machine, every one goes there for no more than 11 months. Then a choice is made whether the soul requires physical incarnation again or will they stay in the upper worlds. Hell is said to be large as there are many damages one can do to themselves. Do not turn your life into a living hell !
The deliverance from Gehenom (Hell) is not the only reward of the Torah, as it says: “Tables of Fatness.” When a man has right conduct and study of the Five Books to his credit, he is given one angel. If he has the Five Books, Prophets, and Writings to his credit, he is given two angels to guard him. When one has all these and also Mishnah, Midrash, Halachah, and Aggadah, and puts himself under the guidance of the sages, the Holy One Himself keeps watch over him, as is taught by Elijah the Prophet.29
These spiritual forces we inherit influence our lives and will give you insight, but this requires great refinement.
All these supernal gifts and much more than can be described are the good for the righteous, but even on the physical level, Rabbi Shimon ben Akashiya tells us in tractate Kinnim the intellect of uninstructed people becomes distracted as they age, while this is not so with scholars of Torah: the older they get, the more their minds become composed. With aged men there is wisdom and understanding in length of days.30
This is so as they connect to the source of their soul’s supernal intellect. Much like how Samson in the Bible had supernal strength.
In the Book of Lamentations, the Prophet states, “Arise, cry out in the night at the beginning of the watches; God will see Thee” (Lam. 2: 19-20). Concerning this, Rabbi Chayah teaches us in
tractate Tamid that for one who learns Torah at night, the Shechinah faces him. The disciples of the wise increase peace in the world,31 and this increase of peace is not only from His inward peace, which is a treasure in and of itself, but, as Rabban Shimon ben Gamliel explains in tractate Avot-d’Rabbi Nathan,whoever makes peace in his house, the Torah ascribes to him as though he has made peace for every individual. Each person is a king in
his own home.32Concerning the Crown of Torah, Rabbi Abba ben Surangeya teaches that from much Torah study, God will remove your evil passions and you will hear good tidings, you will become a Angel.33

Do you control yourself or are you controlled by “external sources” ? Ever find yourself having emotions that are out of control ? For this we have the expression “get a grip on yourself”, as if you don’t these “external sources” will. It is sort of like when on says “the Devil made me do it”.
Everyone gets angry. Maybe you “lose your cool” or “hit the roof.” lost your temper? Do you yell and scream or want to hit someone? Do you get angry when something doesn’t go your way, when you become frustrated ? You should work to keep this situation from happening again. Don’t have a quick or a hot temper. Don’t lose control.
You sometimes need to stop and “get a grip on yourself”
When our aggression becomes so extreme that we lose self-control, it is said that we are in a rage. Anger may do more harm than any other emotion. The overall effects of anger are enormous. Through anger the mind and the body can both become disturbed.
It is really up to you how you are going to act. That is if you don’t “lose it”. The external negative energies, Know they want to take your soul away from you.
So always be gentle. Don’t be rough and inconsiderate. When one is unkind to others this behavior inevitably rebounds back on you. Such behavior will cause destruction to one’s connection to the spiritual realms.
There really is a voice of the soul of inner awakening , but you have to be in a receptive state to hear it. You wont be able to hear it as long as you live in emotional upheaval.
One must allow wisdom to direct their emotions. know that receiving insults, abuse, and mistreatment in silence is a tremendous help in dealing with relationships. You have to work at having balanced, healthy relationships. You can’t run away from yourself.
The “external sources” are those that direct you into imbalance and chaos, don’t Let them. If they have their way they will destroy all your relationships. Don’t let them.
It not easy by any means to maintain a peaceful state of consciousness, we are tested all the time. The “external sources” are always trying to interfere with our inner composure, and working on others around us to “get our goat”.
It is when one is out of balance that they are vulnerable to the spirit of folly, and can do something stupid. Those who are blind to their inner selves are likely to do stupid things, so try to stay focused. One is in trouble when they lose their way. Try to stay calm in balance find equilibrium. When someone looses balance either in their own internal composure or with things outside of themselves they lose energy . One must master patience and tolerance even God forbid if it involves suffering. One’s tolerance of suffering is based on their faith.
When we look back at what we thought were “great Problems” of our past, now we see we got ‘over’ them, and it was not really so ‘bad’. Actually there is great good that resulted , sometimes though it is not so easy to see, or understand.
Tolerance is a necessary virtue in everyone’s daily life. One who cleaves to God in awe and complete love has no question about any matter of this world. All bothers and difficulties of this world are thought of by him as nothing. . They don’t interfere with his life at all. Personal problems he faces of this world that would trouble others don’t concern him at all.
This is not escape to ‘Fantasy Island’. On the contrary most abide in a world of illusion. Reawakening to the awareness of truth is getting out of fantasy and entering reality. Don’t be over concerned with the trivialities of life. They just come and go. Know that by both favor and disgrace one is shocked. Many times this is because people forget the true value of things. So people when finding favor of others may take pride in them selves, making them arrogant. Or one may imagine that some thing is a matter of disgrace and embarrassment. When it’s in all truth a truly insignificant matter. Its about what you want to consider trouble, and then all that such entails. To another man it may be nothing. Many times one may feel lonely, isolated or misunderstood by others. By getting your Higher Self (soul) involved in daily life, you will be able to feel loved, nurtured, and deeply understood. The way we deal with such problems can show the degree of one’s love. Faith endears couples as husband and wife. You need to prepare your heart to receive faith. When one lacks faith which is the power of growing and sprouting, literally he rots. He is left to lead a life that is full of sadness, slothfulness and sluggishness. Faith is most misunderstood “it is the power that surrounds the inspiration of wisdom and creativity.”

In 1996 scientists first discovered the facial tumors on Tasmanian devils. Scientists have long known the disease is infectious, but nobody understood what caused it. Some suspected that it might be transmitted via a virus. Subsequent research revealed that the cancer is transmitted from one devil to another when tumor cells are transplanted through fighting, biting, and other physical contact. The cancer is spreading fast, and scientists now say the disease transferred in tooth-baring combat. Pound for pound, the Tasmanian devil is reportedly the most powerful biter alive today. During mating season, Tasmanian devils are notoriously feisty, and their duels often involve mouth-to-mouth combat. Once afflicted with the cancer, aggressive tumors begin to appear on the face and neck of the devils, restricting their ability to eat. Within approximately three months, the devils succumb to the disease and often die of starvation. The disease has decimated the devil population by nearly 90 percent in certain geographical areas of Tasmania, and officials project that within twenty years the entire species could become extinct.
The process by which the disease spreads among the devils has only been seen once before and represents a new field in cancer biology. Inbreeding in wild populations may prevent the devils’ immune system from recognizing the cancer as foreign, allowing the cancer to be transmitted. To provide an alternate fate for the devils, the Tasmanian government will have an insurance population of more than two hundred devils in quarantined facilities before the end of 2008.
The CSHL research team, led by researcher and native Tasmanian Elizabeth Murchison, Ph.D., aims to understand how the tumors work at a molecular level by sequencing the genes expressed in the devils’ tumor. As part of the delegation’s visit, CSHL researchers presented an overview of the research being conducted to address the crisis. “Once the cancer genes are fully sequenced, we will have a better chance to identify the cause and genetic make-up of this unique cancer,” said Dr. Murchison.
“Our efforts to sequence the devil’s genome mark the first time anyone has attempted to use the technology for exploring this particular type of cancer biology,” explained David L. Spector, Ph.D., CSHL director of research. “When we have a complete view of the devil tumor genes, scientists will be able to identify the cancer causing genes, which may lead to the development of therapies and vaccines.”
According to Hannah Bender, an Australian veterinarian and Ph.D. student who works with the CSHL team, the disease is now found in more than 50 percent of the devils’ habitat. “This research will be a vital component of the Save the Devil Program and will assist in fully understanding the disease, its characteristics and what might be done for future approaches,” said the Honorable Doug Parkinson, Leader of the Government in the Legislative Council of Tasmania. Information gathered by the CSHL team during their research of the tumor’s genome will also aid the Tasmanian breeding program to ensure a genetically diverse insurance population.
The uniqueness of the tumor structure also has human implications. “We’re using all of the research tools employed for understanding human tumor biology,” said Gregory Hannon, Ph.D., CSHL professor and Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator who oversees Murchison’s work. “A cure for the devil may have applications for humans as well.” ScienceDaily (Jan. 29, 2008) — Researchers are working toward an understanding a unique transmissible and rapidly spreading cancer that threatens the very existence of Tasmanian devils. There is a “spiritual” idea that the “devil” tries to take too much, which results in its own “undoing”.
There is a idea that the “other side” will one day swallow up so many sparks of Divine light that it will be forced to vomit up all the sparks it has swallowed up through out all the generations. The it will cease to exist as it is written :
“He will destroy death for ever; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the insult of his people shall he take away from off all the earth; for the Lord has spoken it.” (Isaiah 25)

In this parsha we are given the law concerning the red heifer. This was the only mystery of Torah that King Solomon thought he could not understand, but after Solomon closely examined this mitzvah he realized how little he really understood at all. The red heifer represents the opposite of logic as we know it. Since that which defiles its makers purifies those who are unclean.
At Meribah Moses said “ Rebels, shall we bring out from this rock water” We are Told by the sages that Moses should have said the opposite “ We will bring water from this rock”. It is also written that Moses should have said “GOD will bring water from this rock”, not we. Its written “ This is the water of Meribah, becouse the children of Yisrael strove with GOD, and He was sanctified in them”. From this one may think that GOD was sanctified at Meribah, but this is not the case, it is referring to another time. When GOD was sanctified by the appearance of Myriam’s well. As at Meribah the Opposite is clearly true, GOD was not sanctified there. After this the people complained for water again, and GOD became angry, and made fiery serpents attack them. Moses was then told to make a brass serpent on a pole and have the people who were bitten look at this serpent and be healed. That which was killing the people now did the opposite and would heal them. This may allude to the fact that one can not hide themselves from the problems of the world, but they must be confronted directly. They cannot be ignored, as they wont just go away. Also by having some knowledge of the enemy one has a better chance to be victorious at battle. Then Go-d forbid they will not be taken by surprise. We see this with Nachemyah during the time of the establishment of the 2nd Temple. Nachemyah made men who married gentiles in exile leave their foreign wives if they wanted to come up to the Holy land. (This is not racist but the God has commanded the Jewish people to live a unique lifestyle other nations don’t share, as shobot and Kosher. This is in the Bible. This separation preserves their identity as a unique nation.) He also forced businesses to be closed on Shabot. He did not look away ignoring these issues, neither was he afraid to confront them. He did the opposite He took them head on. This certainly applies to a situation involving the desecration of the name of GOD in public. Like the abomination parade. (I wrote this years ago and this problem has not went away). This involves a judgement upon all Yisrael. We must definitely directly stand up to this attempt to desecrate the name of GOD and bring such filth into our Holy city. What would of Happened if Moses did not stand up against the golden calf disco?. The problems we face are really opportunities to sanctify GOD’s name. To reveal light from the sparks that gives vitality to problem “klipa” (shell). Like the serpent the red heifer Healed and could do the opposite. So make the best out of the situation, what ever it is. We are told that one who is involved in sin should should do its opposite, and go to the other extreme. Before finding the middle path. When preparing the red heifer the Cohen takes a piece of Cedar wood, Hyssop and ties them together with a crimson wool thread, and throws them into the burning cow. The Cedar is of the tallest of trees, Hyssop the smallest of shrubs. They were tied together with a crimson thread representing sin. This shows that both of these opposite extremes is undesirable. There is one exception to this in the case of the pitfall of the generation, “Safer Chassadim” says one should stay the farthest extreme from it. In our generation this is materialism, at the cost of one’s spiritual awareness and development. So do the opposite, don’t sell your soul, but acquire spiritual goods. King Solomon also said the middle path is that which is correct, except concerning humility and in this trait go the extreme. Always act according to the correct motivation. So we can go as described in our parsha from “rosh pisgah” (head of the heights) seeing, הישימן being הישי the yeshi (father of David), מן (man-english). alluding to our righteous mashiach and may we see him quickly in our days.
