(do not pronounce these names)
Aza and Azael are the two angels who argued with God against the creation of man.
They believed that if they were put in physical incarnation they would be much better at serving God than Humans. They were wrong and fell to lust for human women and desires honor and power. Our sages of blessed memory have said that when the Holy One, blessed be He, created man, He created him in the Garden of Eden and commanded him to observe seven commandments. When he sinned AT THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE, and was driven out of the Garden of Eden, those two celestial angels, Aza and Azael, said to the Holy One, blessed be He, ‘If it would have been us on earth, like man, we would have been virtuous.’ The Holy One, blessed be He, then asked them, ‘Would you be able to overcome the evil inclination THAT IS IN CONTROL ON EARTH?’ They said, ‘We can.’ The Holy One, blessed be He, immediately dropped them from heaven to earth and the scripture reads: “There were Nefilim in the earth” (Beresheet 6:7) and also: “mighty men.” As soon as they descended to earth, the evil inclination seized them, as it is written: “And they took them wives of all whom they chose” (Ibid. 2). They sinned and were deposed from their sanctity. These Angels were subsequently banished to the Mountains of Darkness (they are in India). Bila’am, a powerful, evil sorcerer who is spoken of in the Bible, lived during the time of Moses. Bila’am would travel to these mountains to draw all of his strength from the negative forces dwelling there. Aza and Azael, who rebelled the Holy One, blessed be He, caused them to fall from heaven, they were forced to put on and to live with the garments of the earth. They could not divest themselves of these garments AND COULD NOT RETURN TO THEIR FORMER RESIDENCE WITH THE REST OF THE ANGELS. THEY REMAINED FOREVER ON EARTH. Subsequently, they were seduced by earthly women. They exist to this day, teaching sorcery to people. They begot sons, whom they called ‘mighty’ and ‘giants’. The Nefilim are referred to as “sons of Elohim,”.
Kayin’s descendants walked the earth, they resembled both the celestial angels above and the humans below. THIS IS BECAUSE KAYIN DESCENDED BOTH FROM THE FILTH OF (do not pronounce) SAMAE”L , WHO MATED WITH Eve AND WAS AN ANGEL, AND FROM THE SEEDS OF ADAM. the descendants of Kayin were the sons of the Elohim, because when Samael injected his filth into Chavah, she conceived and gave birth to Kayin. Consequently, his appearance was not similar to that of the rest of humanity FOR HE WAS CONCEIVED THROUGH AN ANGEL. All those who descended from Kayin were called the sons of the Elohim, BECAUSE THEIR APPEARANCE WAS THAT OF ANGELS CALLED ‘ELOHIM.’
Even those Nefilim, who are the children of Aza, Azael and Naamah are called THE SONS OF THE ELOHIM.
“The Nefilim were on the earth…” (Beresheet 6:4)
These, appear to men in the form OF HUMAN BEINGS. And how, you may ask, do they transform themselves FROM THE SHAPE OF AN ANGEL TO THAT OF HUMAN BEINGS? As we have learned, they can transform themselves into all kinds OF SHAPES, and when they come down INTO THIS WORLD, they clothe themselves with the garments of earth’s atmosphere and take on human form.these, as we have discussed, appear to men in the form OF HUMAN BEINGS. And how, you may ask, do they transform themselves FROM THE SHAPE OF AN ANGEL TO THAT OF HUMAN BEINGS? As we have learned, they can transform themselves into all kinds OF SHAPES, and when they come down INTO THIS WORLD, they clothe themselves with the garments of earth’s atmosphere and take on human form.
“men of renown (lit. ‘name’)” (Ibid.) who made use of the name. What is the name? It is the Holy Name, and they used it, for unholy things.
When Joshua and the spies surveyed the land of Israel they came across Ahiman, Sheshai and Talmai. They were the offspring of the Nefilim (lit. ‘fallen ones’) that the Holy One, blessed be He, dropped from the HEAVEN to the earth, and they produced offspring from the daughters of the earth. From them emerged the mighty men of old, as is written: “The same were mighty men of old, men of renown” (Genesis 6:4). “Of old” MEANS they were present from the time the world was created and “men of renown” are Ahiman, Sheshai and Talmai, MEANING THAT THEIR NAMES WERE WELL KNOWN IN THE WORLD.
When the spies reached those giants, they put in front of them the staff of Moses and were saved. Due to this staff, they were saved. If you think that those giants simply left them alone, IT WAS NOT SO. The giants in fact came to capture them, but they put the staff in front of the giants and saved themselves. Rabbi Yehuda said, Moses passed on to them the Holy Name. Due to this, they were saved and survived (by the staff with the Holy Name).

“And YHV”H said to Moses, ‘Go in to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart…'” (Exudus 10:1).
Sometimes God takes away our free will.
Rabbi Yehuda opened the discussion, saying: “Happy is the people that know the joyful note; they shall walk, YHV”H, in the light of Your countenance” (Tehilim 89:16). How much should people walk in the ways of the Holy One, blessed be He, and observe the commandments of the Torah in order to merit the World to Come, and that they may be delivered from all Accusers above and below. For as there are Accusers in the world below, so there are Adversaries above whose functions are to ACCUSE people.
These Accusers are angels of judgment. They bring judgment so to direct us back to the right path and a means of refining us from evil we have done.
Those who observe the commandments of the Torah and walk the right path in fear of their Master, good Advocates are situated above them, as is written: “If there be an angel over him, an interpreter, one among a thousand…then He is gracious to him, and says, ‘Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom'” (Job 33:23). Therefore, fortunate is he who observes the commandments of the Torah.
THIS IS REFERRING TO IN THE OTHER WORLD
Rabbi Chiya said to him: If so, why is it necessary to have an angel to intercede for the person, seeing it is written: “For YHV”H will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught” (Proverbs 3:26). “YHV”H will guard you from all evil” (Psalms 121:7). For the Holy One, blessed be He, sees everything that a man does in the world, both good and evil. And so He says, “‘Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him?’ Says YHV”H” (Jeremiah 23:24).
So many times are we saved from calamity by these angels, and don’t know. From God nothing is hidden. From us a lot is concealed, so to preserve free will.
Rabbi Yehuda said: Certainly it is so. But it is written: “And touch his bone and his flesh” (Job 2:5), and “although you did move me against him to destroy him without cause” (Ibid. 3). This shows that permission was granted to the Other Side to accuse in worldly matters, and they should be given into his hands. All these things are to stay concealed before the Holy One, blessed be He, and you have no right to investigate them, because they are the statutes of the Holy One, blessed be He. Humans are not permitted to be particular about them except for those truly Righteous who know the secrets of the Torah and go in the way of wisdom to know these hidden things in the Torah.
Why “bad things” happen is not always easy to understand.
“Now there was a day…and the Adversary came also among them”
Rabbi Elazar begins by talking about Rosh Hashanah, Judgment Day.
This is the day the Bible refers to by “In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall you have a sabbath, a day of remembrance of blowing of horns, a holy gathering.”
He says there are messengers who are appointed by God to watch over the actions of people, and at Judgment Day these messengers accuse those whose actions were improper. When people sin, they weaken ELOHE”M (manifestation of God in nature), but when they perform good actions they give might and power to Him. Rabbi Elazar speaks about “The Adversary also came among them,” and recounts the conversation between God and Satan wherein God distracts Satan from his accusation of Yisrael, by asking him if he has considered His servant Job. Satan always requests justice from God. We read that Job was judged as he had judged Yisrael, since he had been one of Pharaoh’s advisors. The Satan was given permission to afflict Job’s bones and flesh, but not to kill him. We are told that God does not want to destroy the whole world on the word of the Accuser, since the Accuser’s desire is always to destroy. The discussion turns to “The end of all flesh” which is the Satan, and “the end of days” that is in Holiness. On Rosh Hashanah those who come before God with repentance deserve to be written on the side of Life; those who come with evil actions are written on the Other Side, which is Death. We are told then of the balance, where the world is half Life and half Death, and the actions of one Righteous man or one wicked person can tip the balance so that all the world is written to Life or Death. A person should not be set apart by himself because he can be noticed and accused from above. Job, who was set apart, and who was tested severely, did not even then join the Other Side. He should, however, have given a part of his sacrifice to the Other Side because then the Other Side would have removed himself from the Temple. The conclusion of this section is that God judged Job, giving him first good and then bad and then good again; thus it is proper for a person to know good and bad, and to return himself to good.
Rabbi Elazar opened the discussion, saying: “Now there was a day when the sons of Elohim came to present themselves before God, and the Adversary came also among them” (Job 1:6). “Now there was a day,” refers to Rosh Hashanah, the day that the Holy One, blessed be He, rises to judge the world. Similarly, “And it happened one day, that he came there” (II Kings 4:11). That day was the holy day of Rosh Hashanah.
“And the sons of Elohim came.” These are the appointed ministers whose mission in the world is to observe the actions of people. “To present themselves before God,” as is written: “And all the hosts of heaven standing by Him on His right hand and on His left” (I Kings 22:19). But in the passage: “To present themselves before God,” “The Adversary also came among them.” The word “also” adds to THE CHILDREN OF ELOHIM, because they all came to accuse, and THE ADVERSARY also joined them because he was the greatest slanderer of them all. As soon as the Holy One, blessed be He, saw that they all came to accuse, immediately, “And YHV”H said to the Adversary, ‘From where do you come?'” (Job 1:7) Did not the Holy One, blessed be He, know where he came from: Rather only to allow the matter to the wishes of the Satan, MEANING THAT WITH THESE WORDS HE GAVE HIM AN OPENING TO ACCUSE AS HE WISHES.
“YHV”H said to the Adversary, ‘Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on earth…'” (Ibid. 8).
The Satan works for God being the Evil inclination in man, THE ADVERSARY, Accuser and prosecuter of the supernal court. Only with permission from God can he do anything. As we see here with Job “YHV”H said to the Adversary, ‘Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on earth…'” (Ibid. 8).
The book of “Iyov” (Joab) was written prophetically by Moses (Bava Basra 14b). Iyov was born when Yisrael entered Egypt, and his suffering lasted for 1 year and started when he was seventy. After that he lived twice as long for another 140 years (Iyov 42:16) and died the year after we came out of Egypt.

UPDATED APRIL 28 2015
The sons of G-d saw that the daughters of man were good, and they
took themselves wives from whomever they chose… the Nefilim (fallen ones)
were on the earth in those days…” ( The Genesis 6:2, 4)
Who are these “sons of G-d” (Benei Elohim) ? There exists in Torah a sacred tradition
that has been recorded centuries ago that these “sons of G-d” is a secret matter.
To identify these “sons of G-d” we only need to turn to the Bible. The very
same Hebrew term “Benei Elohim” is used in the Book of Job, where it states, “upon a day, the sons of G-d came to present themselves before God.” (1:6) The day in question has
traditionally been understood as Rosh HaShana. The sons of G-d here are clearly the race of entities we have come to call angels. Indeed the Talmud in Chagigah lists the “Benei Elohim” as one of the ten races of angels. The Zohar (1:23a; 1:25a; ZH Ruth 99a) goes even further explaining this, and also the ancient Sefer Hanokh (Enoch 7), which is one of the most ancient and intact sources of Torah known to us, the identity of these angels and their story is revealed. According to these most ancient of sources there was a band of angels, Benei Elohim, who stood by at the original creation of Adam and resisted his creation and the authority given to him by G-d. They complained to G-d saying “why should Adam be given so much authority and
power over them seeing that he is destined to come to Earth, sin and fall.” G-d replies to these angels that if they were ever to descend to Earth, their fall would be even worse (Zohar 1:9b, 37a). Such is the power of physical incarnation here on Earth. Two leading angels, Aza and Azael gathered together a band of two hundred of their brothers and together made a vow that they would descend to Earth to prove that they unlike Adam could and would resist Earthly living and
physical temptations, thus proving themselves to be superior. Their descent to Earth is what is
recorded in Genesis 6 (1:23a; 1:25a; ZH Ruth 99a). Enoch 7 tells a similar story. these fallen angels were proven wrong. Once they came to Earth they were overcome by physical sexual desires, which was a totally new and unknown sensation for them. Like Adam and Eve before them, they fell.
The children of these mix-breed entities were not fully human and not fully angelic.
They are the source for the myths and legends of the ancient world. We find stories of super human and unusual creatures in the ancient traditions of many nations.
There were many kinds of entities in ancient days on this earth as it says in the bible there were Nefilim (fallen ones), sons of God, mighty men of old, Giants and men of Name. Some were angels completely non-physical spiritual entities, being totally incorporeal. Others were angels who have a sense of corporeality to them.
The late Rabbi Aharon Soloveitchik of Chicago said that these Benei Elohim spoken of in Genesis 6 were actually very physical, humanoid extraterrestrials, who came to Earth. This is quoted from a 9th century text. They became trapped here, not being able to return home in another dimension or possibly on another planet in this dimension. They mingled their genetics with human genetics. This polluted the human gene pool. The reaction from Heaven was swift and harsh. A comprehensive cleansing was needed. The flood soon followed.
Did the ancients have an extraterrestrial connection, one that led to their ultimate destruction? Not only Torah sources suggest this; there are many parallel stories told throughout the world. There is much about our past we don’t know about today. Maybe our ancient and forgotten past is coming back to haunt us ? Modern stories of UFO’s, extraterrestrial encounters, technological advancements supposedly reversed engineered from captured (or received) alien technologies, alien abductions and secret government conspiracies all are Popularly believed and denied by all official sources.
These fallen angels taught humanity what the literature calls treasures of wisdom (Enoch 8). When one reviews the list of the subjects that the fallen angels taught to humanity, we today would call these subjects technology. They referred to these technologies by the Hebrew term “Kishufim” (Zohar 1:126b), which today we translate as witchcraft or magic. Evidence of their powers can still be seen by what they left for us as Pyramid structures built of huge stones all over the world and the Stones in the western wall weighing Tons. How else could they be moved ?
It is known from what is written in the Zohar, that the Egyptians made use of various types of spells and magic, which they accessed by manipulating the powers of impurity, in order to enslave the Jews, that even a single slave could not escape from there.
We will be seeing again intervention by Heavenly Beings. Only this time,
the intervention will be that of Mashiah and his armada of angels (Zech. 14:5).
