THE TRIBES AND YOUR JOURNEYS -PARSHAT MATTOT – MASSAY

EMBRYO

Mottot                                                Bs”d

We stand approaching Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kipor and the holiday of Succot in the distance. These great times of great revelation of light need great preparation so that one may become a proper  vessel for the revelation of this great light. For this GOD has given us the month of Tammuz and quickly approaching the month of Av. Av precedes the month of Ellul. The month where GOD is ready to give anyone a hand who wants to know and be one with His glorious light. GOD in Ellul gives every one extra power. Before Ellul we have Av. This is the time of destruction of Both Temples, the time of national mourning. This reveals a certain part of the heart. The sages say  only those who mourn the loss of the Temple will be those  who will  rejoice when it will be rebuilt. By contemplation of this we can  come  to realize as the sages say “one who has not seen the ceremony during  succot where water is poured up the alter has never seen joy in his life”. These 3 Weeks are a time  of introspection  called “cheshbon Nefesh”. It’s a time for looking into the mirror of our souls and reflecting upon where we have been, where we are, and where we should be going. It is the time to examine our thoughts, speech and actions so that we may come to live more  meaningful and Holy lives. Sins that destroyed the First Holy Temple and the sin that destroyed the Second Holy Temple are growing stronger each day. Powerful and disruptive rifts fracture our Jewish communities.

Our parsha starts out discussing vows, sincere commitments one makes to GOD. Our lives should be a sincere commitment to his will. If we follow His will we will become holy. The Torah tells a father can nullify his daughter’s vow when she is child, and that a husband can nullify his wife’s vows. What about a 15 year-old girl? The “halacha” (Torah Law)  makes it clear that she is completely independent, so if she makes a vow, her father can’t nullify it. However, the Torah does not even hint to such a situation.

Becouse historically speaking, at the time the Torah was given, girls married  when reaching physical maturity. So the Torah had not addressed these cases

Thus our parashah illustrates the difficulty of understanding the Torah  In the context of modern life, without knowledge of the Oral Torah. As during the time of the Torah, it was unacceptable for a 12-year-old girl to be unmarried, while today it is inconceivable for her to be married.

Rabbi Nachman of Breslov teaches that through faith one  achieves intellect.1 It is according to one’s  Dat (knowledge that connects the mind to the heart), which is “penimi”  (a internal aspect) in the sefirot that there is a “segulah” (miraculous power) to unite with Divine will.2 By this we  can accomplish anything. But to reach this power of Dat (knowledge that connects the mind to the heart), which is “penimi”  (a internal aspect) in the sefirot that there is a “segulah” (miraculous power) to unite with Divine will which gives you power over all in this world by yielding Divine will one must learn a lot. One must go through many journeys.

By these journeys  that we each face in our own  live’s  which  are our  “tikun”(fixing) so  that we may enter a Divine state of consciousness called “Yisrael”. In these journeys we face many tests, these come to refine us.  By this we may merit to not only have the consciousness called “Yisrael”, but to actually enter the Holy land and connect to the Infinite quality of God that is always dwelling upon the Land. It is a quality like Shabot which is manifest by the Divine name of (42) מ”ב of the world of Bria as explained in the books  concerning the meditations of the  Shabot.      Like on  Shabot  in Aretz Yisrael  light   is revealed. In Aretz Yisrael light  is  revealed  more because the garments vessels  for light are more refined in Asiyah (the  physical world) as their bodies are more   sanctified in mitzvot than if dwelling outside  the land. As Aretz Yisrael itself  is as a “mikvah” (ritual bath) completely  surrounding  you . “Aretz” (land)  is related to “ratzon” (will), receiving the yolk  of heaven is the spiritual aspect  of Aretz Yisrael.3 Those who walk in the ways of “avoda zara”  (the way   of GOD   being strange to them). Then the  way of GOD will not rest in their hearts. 4 By transgression we can become defiled  and separated from GOD and in  need of cleansing. This cleansing is relative in degrees as we see in the parsha. With a sincere commitment for the sake of Heaven  we can   avoid much of the worst kind of defilement. Defilement of our intellects. As this God forbid can cloud over our  understanding  and shake our sincere commitment to Divine service in fulfilling the  will of Heaven.  Towards the end of the parsha we are reminded  about the first female property owners in world history, the 5 daughters of Tzelofhad being Machla, Noa, Hogla, Milca and Tirza and their property rights. It is interesting to note that there is a difference of opinion concerning what their father Tzelofhad did that caused his death.  Rabbi Yehuda ben Betayrah tells us that Tzelofhad was of the group of brazen men who  defiantly attempted to conquer Israel without God in their midst and without the Holy Ark. While Rabbi Akiva says that Tzelofhad  was “he one who gathered wood on the Sabbath and was stoned to death as a punishment [Num. 15:32–36] – . Instead let us all accend to the land in the correct way and act according to the God’s will and bring the redemption in peace quickly in our days.

THE 2ND PARSHA

Massay                                                Bs”d

It is in this parsha the Levi are given 48 cities with land around each city.  Six of these cities are to be cities of refuge for a accidental murderer to flee to and be safe from a blood avenger. The law of the accidental murderer who goes into exile is mentioned in parsha Massay, Mishpatim, Vaeschanan, Sefer Yehoshua describes how the remaining three cities were separated, in parsha Shoftim we are told that when we listen to God and deserve, our land to be expanded, three more cities of refuge will be added. Right on the heals of all this talk about murderers and killers is a warning not to spill blood on the land. We are then warned not to make the land “tami” (impure) as God resides in the land, because God dwells within the children of Yisrael.

The sages say these 3 additional cities will be added in the Messianic era. Why will we need more cities of refuge  for accidental murders in the messianic era ?

Well lets talk about war, there is a common  situation where 90% of the citizens of a country pose a terrible threat by supporting terrorists and they don’t hide their support of terrorists as they celebrate the killing of innocents by the terrorists by passing out candy on the street rejoicing in genocidal intentions after every terror attack !. They name streets and public squares after these mass murderers. In war they hide the “active” combatants among themselves. The only way to kill the enemy that is trying to kill you is to  drop  bombs that would destroy the entire country. Its war and war has casualties, “collateral damage”.. Innocent civilians even die in wars, unfortunately this always has been the way of the world. There is no way to avoid this. We can try to minimize the numbers but there will be “accidental” deaths. So there will need to be these cities of refuge for the “accidental murders”.

When we are dealing with a “milchemet mitzvah” (A obligatory war , a war to save Jewish lives in the land of Israel is one of them)- there is no room for talk of delay or “proper timing.”  Even if the offensive will undoubtedly lead to many  innocent deaths, one must act without the slightest hesitation lest “Chillul Hashem” results by our inaction. Rashi explains: “He who stands against Israel is as one who stands against the Almighty.”

The Rambam in Guide to the Perplexed understands the need of listing the names of all 42 places Yisrael camped in the desert so later generations might not come to think “That Isreal when they were in the desert were able to survive the 40 years because they were near cities, where men live” But as we can discern from the locations of the 40 places listed where Yisrael camped in the desert. It wound not have been possible for Yisrael to till and plant the land and to reap or feed on plants that were to be found there. The God had the 42 places Yisrael camped in the desert delineated in detail so we may clearly know that our survival in the desert those 40 years was only by miracles. It was NOT natural for the manna to always fall in those places. There were NO wells of water in those places….” This all was meant to emphasize the extent of the miracle of the existence of the Hebrews in the desert for the entire 40 years. The Ramban explains that the detail of the writing of the journeys of Yisrael in the desert was written in the Bible for a purpose which is SECRET which has not been revealed to us. Yisrael were originally traveling in the desert very fast as “ takes eleven days to travel from Horeb via Mt. Seir to Kadesh Barnea,” but they miraculously traversed this distance in three days.

3 times the text of Israelite journey in the wilderness is recounted in the Bible  the most exhaustive is in our parsha (Num. 33). The journeys are  listed in the Torah in their appropriate located place. If we divide  the places of encampment into three groups they have 14  places in each group, there are places with a description  and places with no description at all. The first and third groupings are places with a description in the 40 year trek in the desert. With the 2nd group of 14 places is given no description at all. Here they are :

FIRST SECTION : Num 33: 1-14   ————————– places with a description THESE JOURNEYS WERE ALL IN THE FIRST YEAR AFTER ISRAEL LEFT EGYPT

“They journeyed from Ra’amses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of
the month of the first month, on the day after the Pesach; Benei Yisrael left
with a high hand in the sight of all of Egypt. And the Egyptians were
burying those whom God had smitten – all the firstborn; and God had also
executed judgments upon their gods” (3-4).
“They journeyed from Sukkot and encamped at Eitam, which is on the edge
of the wilderness” (6).
“They journeyed from Eitam and turned back to Pi ha-Chirot, which faces
Ba’al Tzefon, and they encamped in front of Midgal” (7).
“They journeyed from before [Pi] ha-Hirot and passed through in the midst
of the sea into the wilderness, and they walked a distance of three days in
the wilderness of Eitam, and encamped at Mara” (8).
“They journeyed from Mara and came to Eilim, and in Eilim there were
twelve fountains of water and seventy palm trees, and they encamped
there” (9).
“They journeyed from Alush and encamped at Refidim, and there was no
water there for the nation to drink” (14).

Middle Section verses 15 through 35

THESE PLACES HAVE NO DESCRIPTION AT ALL=On  literary level the central 14 verses here of Israel’s journey in the desert form the thrust of the narratives intent. Yet here there is no content at all, merely the list of locations. This middle anonymous section of 14 verses,  reveals nothing of epic events that happened in these years in the desert. This represents
the bulk of the time our ancestors spent in the desert,  This just begs for understanding.

Last section verses 36 through 49  ———————-places with a description THE LAST 8 OF THESE JOURNEYS WERE ALL IN THE LAST YEAR BEFORE ENTERING THE HOLY LAND

“They journeyed from Etzion Gever and encamped in the wilderness of
Tzin, which is Kadesh” (36).”They journeyed from Kadesh and encamped at Hor ha-Har, on the border
of the land of Edom” (37).
“Aharon the Kohen ascended to Hor ha-Har, according to God’s word, and
he died there in the fortieth year after Benei Yisrael came out of the land of
Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first of the month” (38).
“And Aharon was a hundred and twenty-three years old when he died at
Hor ha-Har” (39)
“The Canaanite king of Arad, who dwelled in the Negev, in the land of
Canaan, heard that Benei Yisrael were coming” (40).
“They journeyed from Ovot and encamped at Iyei ha-Avarim, on the border
of Moav” (44)

THE LAST 8 OF THESE JOURNEYS WERE ALL IN THE LAST YEAR BEFORE ENTERING THE HOLY LAND
“They journeyed from Almon-Divlataima and encamped in the mountains of Avarim, before Nevo” (47)
“They journeyed from the mountains of Avarim and encamped on the plains of Moav on the Yarden, near Yeriho” (48).
“They encamped on the Yarden, from Beit ha-Yeshimot to Avel-ha-Shittim,
on the plains of Moav” (49)

In our Parsha massay the 42 journeys of Isreal in the desert from Egypt to Israel – are like 42  phases each person’s experiences in their own way throughout life. For this it is written :

“These are the journeys of the Israelites, who had left Egypt” on the way to the Promised Land: All the 42 journeys are about freeing ourselves, transcending the constraints (Mitzrayim) which conceals God and His Divine powers from us., subduing and sublimating the forces of evil that are holding us back from our spiritual potential. By these journeys, phases in  life we learn to make our life one of harmony between body and soul, with open revelation of God, God willing.

The name of each of these 42 places where the Hebrews encamped in the desert is recorded in the Torah. All creation will be elevated in the Messianic era through the 42 journeys the Hebrews made in the desert. The desert is symbolic of spiritual desolation, the complete concealment of Godliness, the dwelling place of impurity and evil. By these 42 powers the spirit of impurity will be removed from the land in the future so to end the concealment of God in this lowest physical realm.

The 42 places were separated from each other by the prefixes of ב (Bet) and from מ (Mem) and also by the word journey (VYSAV). The prefixes M and B, together have the value 42 alluding to the 42-Letter Name , while the word journey (VYSAV) is repeated 42 times in this section of the journeys. Reb Zadok in his Pri Tzadik, points out that forty-two is the number of letters found in the special and holy Name of God
that prophets used to pronounce and meditate on when going into a state of prophecy. The Pri Tzadik teaches, these forty-two stops correspond to the forty-two letter Name. The Magid of Zlotchov teaches that the names of the places indicate the victory of “kedushah” through the Israelites’ weakening of the “tumah” of the wilderness that surrounds it. Rab Judah said in Rab’s name: The forty-two lettered Name is entrusted only to him who is pious, meek, middle-aged, free from bad temper, sober, and not insistent on his rights. And he who knows it, is heedful thereof, and observes it in purity, is beloved above and popular below, feared by man, and inherits two worlds, this world and the future world. (Kiddushin 71a) The world came into being by  the first forty two letters of the Torah, the forty-two building blocks or stages of creation, building blocks of the 42 letter name.

One must go through many journeys. In our Parsha massay 42 journeys of Isreal in the desert are described. These journeys raise us from below to above. Raising all to Bina consciousness , revelation of our Nashama (soul of Divine intellect). To be more specific 42 aspects raising the Emotional soul , the “Ruach” to the Nashama and its guiding consciousness. It is by these journeys that we each face in our own live’s which are our “tikun” (fixing) so that we may enter a Divine state of consciousness called “Yisrael”.

It waa a great miracle making a dry rock into a source of fresh water in Refidim, the third location involving water on the Children of Yisrael’s journeys. the Torah tells us:

וַיַּחֲנוּ בִּרְפִידִם וְלֹא הָיָה שָׁם מַיִם לָעָם לִשְׁתּוֹת
They camped in Refidim, and there was no water for the people to drink.
(verse14)

Here, in Refidim, is where Moshe hit the rock for the first time, producing water for the people. At Refididim is also where Yisrael fights Amalak. This source of water accompanied Israel for the next nearly 40 years.

“Water” is mentioned with three locations in the list of Israel’s 42 journeys in the Desert.. Each time, whether in Marah, Eilim, or Refidim, the water’s appearance was accompanied by a miracle.

2.   For they had departed from Rephidim, and had come to the desert of Sinai, and had camped in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount.

3.   (Smot 19:2)

“Smot” (Exodus Chapter 17)

1.   And all the congregation of the people of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the Lord, and camped in Rephidim; and there was no water for the people to drink.

2.   Therefore the people complained to Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said to them, Why do you strive with me? why do you tempt the Lord?

3.   And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Why have you brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?

4.   And Moses cried to the Lord, saying, What shall I do to this people? they be almost ready to stone me.

5.   And the Lord said to Moses, Go on before the people, and take with you of the elders of Israel; and your rod, with which you struck the river, take in your hand, and go.

6.   Behold, I will stand before you there upon the rock in Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water shall come out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.

7.   And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the people of Israel, and because they tempted the Lord, saying, Is the Lord among us, or not?

8.   Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.

9.   And Moses said to Joshua, Choose for us men, and go out, fight with Amalek; tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand.

10.               So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek; and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.

11.               And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

12.               But Moses’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat on it; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

Refidim  is the 11th Journey out of the 42 listed.

Here Moshe brings water from a Rock, and fights Amalak, and because of what happened here Moshe could not enter the Holy Land.

In reviewing all the places the tribes traveled after they left Egypt until encampment on the plains of Moab near the Jordan river of  Jericho.  We learn that Aharon died on the first day of the fifth month .  Of all the people that die in the Torah, only the day of Aharon’s death is told to us.  The Torah doesn’t tell us the day when Abraham or Sarah or Moshe or Miriam or anyone else died – only Aharon.

The eyes, ears, nose and mouth are 7 windows by which the soul ascends by 7 types of herbs. They all illuminate aspects of chuchmah. They are Nard which is Chesed of Chuchmah, Safron-Givurah, Calamus-Teferet, Cinnamon-Netzauch, Frankincence-Hod, Myrrh-Yesod, Aloes correspond to Malchut of Chuchmah. Herbs are conduits of angels Ofanim Chayot and Caruvim. Gold is something above, copper below and silver is in between filling the gap. Rabbi Avraham Abulafia teaches in Aor haSachel that Hashem chose Aravot (the heaven) of all the gilgullim (spheres) it is here He chose to set his כסא(thrown). Of all the stars of heaven he chose the sun, and from all the yesodot (elements) he chose fire. Of all metals He chose gold. Of all the trees He chose the Date palm tree, of all animals the Leviyaton, of birds the Eagle, of all beast the lion. The incense was unique, in that its forbidden to make compounding its ingredients for personal use. Even if one does not burn it. To do so carries a death penalty and this is one of the 36 things that cause a soul to be “cut off”.

There are eleven ingredients of the incense, eleven goat-skin

overhangings of the Tabernacle, and the eleven curses in parashat Ki Tavo these are the ten sefirot of nogah. With the klppa Noga the Divine life-force enlivening them cannot be absorbed within them, because the holy does not mix with the profane. Rather, it hovers over their heads, and shines onto them from there. Together they are thus regarded as eleven But with the ten holy sefirot this is not so. The Divine life-force that enlivens them is absorbed within them, and thus they are counted only as ten.

The oar Ha Chyim taught that “kayin” knew of the arms and feet of the earth. So he didn’t need to lay a hand on Abel to kill him. The four sides of the shechina (Divine presence) are according to the four flags of the “midbar”, and so are there four groups of Jews safardim, askanazim Catalonians and Italians. Cohen cooresponds to tohu, Levi to Vohu and Yisrael to chosech (darkness).

Its written in Safer Ziyoni  a tradition that was handed down from one to another, going back to Moses that the flag of the tribe of Reuben bore a human figure and the three letters of the ancestors of the world: Bet from Abraham, Tsady from Isaac, and Ayin from Jacob; and on the flag of Judah was the form of a lion and the letters Aleph Yod Yod [Abraham Isaac Jacob], of the three patriarchs, … the flag of Ephraim had the figure of an ox and three letters of the patriarchs Resh Chet kof, … the flag of Dan had the figure of an eagle and the three letters of the partriarchs Mem Kof Bet

All Yisrael nourish from a light that is so bright it appears as darkness. The lights are revealed by raising up sparks through mitzvot and acts of kindness. Then new lights decent from above to the nefesh ruach nashama chayah and Yachida (levels of the soul) to each man accordingly. The main rising of sparks is by “tikun” (fixing) of the central piller. “Avodat haKodesh” (Holy woorks) makes zivug of Teferet (Balence) in Malchut (revelation of Divine presence in the earth), and flows rachamim (mercy) to sweeten “din” (judgment). The Nefesh of the sadeek (Holy person) creates the world. According to the Yesod (Gateway of energy) of their Nashama there is eminated their cavana (intentions) on the world, and by this we say Hashem (God) rules. This is the manuchah (rest) of sadeekem. By this they will inherit olam Haba. As the way they live now is from the Histashalut (unfolding of energy) from the “great Shabot”. The nose of the Shechinah (Divine Presence) has in it 370 lights. These sweeten its givurot (forces of restriction). Then there is found manuchah (rest). 370 lights are 300 of the first 3 sefirot and 70 lights are the 70 midot of 10 sefirot each. Hashem has pleasure through “Avodat Yisreael” when when they do His will, He is with them in the 6 “midot” (attributes)of love, fear and the beautiful sparks in the praise of Hashem in “devecut” (cleaving). Count from the world of Bina which is “oneg” (delight) the 7 “midot” till Yesod, then Malchut is called “bat Sheva”. (Count the quality of your avoda, until being complete in all 7 attributes). From the service of sadeekem doing mitzvot (commandments) and misim tovim (good deeds) its like there is made “nachat ruach” (a joy of spirit). there is made a tikun in the “mesach” (the screen filtering the light) that descends dressing in a garment drawn from the rekia (firmament). The light from above “oar yosher” (light that comes down) dresses in the sparks rising from below called “oar chozir”(sparks of light returning to its source rising). Moshe increased praise for Yisrael, becouse of this they merited to receive the Torah. Even if they were in a place of tuma (impurity) that the angels were afraid to enter they went out with a high hand. Always the Shechinah is in the sin of her children dwelling in their tuma so all the year without doubt one needs to purify themselves with water of Rachamim (Mercy) from Ima (Divine mother) by the middle pillar יהו”ה, so you will be pure before Hashem. The oar ha chyim teaches the purpose of the various exiles is to gather isolated segments of sanctity scattered in various branches of the klippa (vessel of the other side of concielment). We learn from Rabbi Moshe Cordevero that exile is a lack of unification of the sefirot, causing a separation from “nanhaga” (divine providence). When there is not sanctified the name of Hashem but it is desecrated before the nations, heaven forbid, there dresses the spiritual supervisors of the nations upon the flow of divine light nourishing from it. This is the exile of the shechinah, but even in exile the light of noga (sparks) surrounds. This is ” I am exiled in your midst”. This is the secret of the ofanim, angels of asiyah (this physical world).

Rab Judah said in Rab’s name:  For as a reward for the forty-two sacrifices offered up by Balak, he was privileged that Ruth should be his descendant. As R. Jose b. Huna said: Ruth was the daughter of Eglon, the grandson of Balak, king of Moab. Maybe there is a connection between the 42 by Balak and the 42 places in the desert.
(Sanhedrin 105b)

By the journeys in the desert was elevation from below up, to the sublime level of bina at which malchut  is not a separate factor, leaving 42 levels in all  The “emotional” sefiros (Ruach) are contained in potential within bina (Ruach ibor in Nashama), they collectively contain 42 components: the six attributes of Z”a, each comprised of seven aspects.

The 42 encampments in the desert lift the forces of holiness out of the reach, of the forces of evil, by elevating them back up to their origins within the 42 components in the “womb” of bina (Sefirot of the soul level called Nashama)., where evil has no hold. All worlds will be raised to a higher level in the Messianic era. This was made possible through the 42 journeys the Hebrews made in the dese

It is by these  journeys we that we each face in our own live’s which are our “tikun” (fixing) so that we may enter a Divine state of consciousness called “Yisrael”. As Aretz Yisrael itself is as a “mikvah” (ritual bath) completely surrounding you. “Aretz” (land) is related  to “ratzon” (will), receiving the yolk of heaven is the spiritual  aspect of Aretz Yisrael.3 Those who walk in the ways of “avoda zara” (the way of GOD being strange to them). Then the way of GOD will not rest in their hearts.4 By transgression we can become defiled and separated from GOD and in need of cleansing. In the beginning of parsha Masay are  described the places of our journeys in the desert after  leaving Egypt. The sages say these journeys are the idea of exile. Exiles are a separation from GOD. To prevent this we must not let our eyes lead us astray with foreign thoughts, but we must hold on to our firm sincere commitment.  That’s why GOD told us to remove all the inhabitants of Cannan as  it says in our parsha “But if you will not drive out the inhabitants  of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those whom you allow to remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall harass you in the land where you live”(33:55). So we must not delay but even now must remove the terrorists from around us and in our midst. And those who have been over come by  foreign thoughts among Israel’s ruling clique who share both an affinity  to foreign governments and, accordingly, an anti-Jewish agenda. The political candidates who habitually lie to voters, promising them a hard line against the terrorists. But once in office, they take more concern with the rights of the terrorists and their communities  than protecting the citizens of Israel.  The primary responsibility  of a government is the protection of its citizens.  These we must rid ourselves of. So that then our enemies will finally cease  to exist . Targum Jonathan teaches  on Ex. 40:11 that the Messiach son of Ephraim, who descends from  Joshua ben Nun it will be by his hand the House of Israel is destined to defeat Gog and his followers at the end of days. As there are 2 Messiahs, one anointed for war and the other anointed to be king over Israel. Redeemer the Messiah son of Joseph,  will come first,” Zohar Hadash, Ruth, 107b.

This world is full of all kinds of light you just have to get those sparks from all thing taking them from even from there captured place giving power to the “other side”. Raising them then up to the Holiness you shall then Rejoice in the Spirit of Holiness. We shall then all go from our “masay” (Journeys) of Exile to the Peace of complete redemption with our Messiah quickly in our days !

BE BOLD IN HOLINESS and SEE WONDERS

Pinchas-Zeal                                             Bs”d

Pinchas was still functioning as Pinchas, during the days of the ‘Judges,’  specifically the time of  the judge Yiftach (2788-2792/972-968 BCE) – over 300 years since Pinchas killed Zimri          !

That’s a long time Pinchas is special

Pinchas risked his future by killing people, thus invalidating himself from a chance at priesthood for himself and all his future descendants. But by killing Zimri and Cosby  Pinchas became a Cohen and received from God a “covenant of Peace”. This is counter intuitive and paradoxical. We must not only live with contradiction we must dwell within the Paradox. Pinchas kills people is then given the Covenant of Peace and extremely long life. Pinchas’ display of brutality ends God’s impulsiveness in inflicting disease for the sin of Israelites fornicating with Midianites and  idol worship. For this God bestows upon Pinchas a “covenant of peace” for this act of violence. “The covenant of peace” is mentioned elsewhere in the Bible: In Isaiah  we read, “To me, this is like the days of Noah, when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth. So now I have sworn not to be angry with you, never to rebuke you again. Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed says God, who has compassion on you.” (54:9-10) Again In Ezekiel the “The covenant of peace” appears again and is described this way, “I will make with them a covenant of peace and banish wild animals from the land so that they may live in the wild and sleep in the woods securely. I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them, and I will bless them and multiply them and will set my sanctuary among them always.” (34:25-26)

“Pinchas the son of Eleazar the son of Aharon the kohen has turned My anger away from the children of Israel by his zealously avenging Me among them, so that I did not destroy the children of Israel because of My zeal. Therefore, say,  I hereby give him My covenant of peace

(Bamidbar 25:12)

Pinchas the Kohen, receives God’s “Brit Shalom” (Covenant of Peace) by a act of extreme violence in our parsha. During the tragic incident of Bal Peor (A term for a place of Idol worship), the tribal leader of Shimon, Zimri, publicly engaged in sex with a Midyanite woman, Kozbi. Pinchas killed the two sinners, thereby bringing an end to the plague that God had unleashed upon the people because of their sinful behavior. Aaron was the supreme peace-maker  “loving peace and pursuing peace”. It might seem strange for a grandson of Aaron to resort to violence and get awarded the “Brit Shalom” (Covenant of Peace) from the God. Peace is a supreme ideal, but not at any price.  Pinchas shows us sometime force is required to establish peace both below and above. .  Zimri, the tribal leader Shimon led the movement to permit relations with the women of Moav and Midyan and the worship of Bal Peor, and Pinchas’ act was essentially an assault on that movement. Many people  came to lynch Pinchas after he had performed his act of zealousness against Zimri.  God intervened and set the record straight before the entire nation.

The story of Pinchas spans two Parsha, this show the importance of what we are talking about. The God by placing it in 2 parsha makes  sure it is to command our attention.  Pinchas is the guy who stands up to do what everyone else was afraid to. Pinchas is the kind of man that “takes care of Business”. One of the scariest things to do is to step out on a limb. Especially if you think it will break and lead to your falling and hurting yourself. But sometime things are not as they appear and one needs to do, what must be done. Pinchas is honored because he is willing to do the right thing even when others won’t act because they are afraid for what ever reason. Pinchas is the man who will do what may be the opposite of what we now call “Politically correct” because its the right thing to do. Pinchas took bold action. And for this he is rewarded.

There is another example in our parsha of people taking a big risk , going out on a limb for what is right.

After the Pinchas incident we read of a census so to divide the land up. Moshe relays God’s words to the people regarding how the land will be divided. After this 5 daughters of Tzelachad step forward to challenge Moshe’s explanation of Gods inheritance laws concerning the land of Israel. And they won. God agreed with them and the rules of inheritance were established as they petitioned. Giving the sisters property ownership inheritance right thousands of years before, such “women’s rights” were known in any culture. The concept of women’s inheritance and land ownership was revolutionary in those times. Up until recently woman were not allowed to even drive in Saudi Arabia.

We also can learn a lesson here from the greatest of all prophets Moshe. One is never too great to learn something new from other people. As we see here even Moses, the greatest of all prophets, learns from both Pinchas and the five sisters.

The seven Heavenly Guests of the Succot  are Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Aaron, Joseph, and David in this order according to Kabbalah. Are also called the Seven Shepherds in the Zohar, each correspond to one of the Jewish holidays of the year – Pesach, Rosh Hashana, Shavuot, Yom Kippur, Succot, Shabbat, and Rosh Chodesh

” It shall be for a sign and a witness to YHV’H TSVAO’T in the land of Egypt. They shall cry to YHV’H because of their troubles, and He shall send them one Who shall plead for Them and deliver them. YHV’H shall be known to Egypt and Egypt shall be know YHV’H on that day. They shall do Sacrifice and Meal offerings. They shall vow a vow to YHVH and perform it. YHV’H shall smite Egypt. He shall smite and heal. They shall return to YHV’H . He shall be entreated of them and shall heal them. In that day there shall be a highway out of Egypt to Assur (Iran) and Iran shall come to Egypt to worship, and Egypt to Iran and Egypt will worship with Iran ” (Isiah19:20-23). The Radak explains Egypt will recognize there is GOD alone after GOD sends them The Messiah to deliver them. After GOD smites Them He will heal them. The Radak explains Egypt will be innovators of Divine service among the nations. Although Egypt will be the first of the nations to accept the kingdom of Heaven, The people of Asur (Iran) will surpass them in their Zeal to worship GOD. One must always remember that even if GOD Always fulfils His good word. The way it will come about is left up to us. Therefore the Prophet Zechariah enjoins us to work hard as He says “Thus says YHV’H TSVAO’T let Your hands be strong you Who hear these words in these days. These words by the mouth of the Prophets. Who spoke on the day that the foundation of the house of YHV’H TSVAO’T was laid, saying that the Temple might be built.”. So work hard against the evil perpetrated by traitors in our midst as pinchas did !

In the Torah scroll the letter vav in the first sentence of parsha Pinchas, in the word shalom (shin-lamed-VAV-mem) is a broken “vav”. As the revelation of the “covenant of peace” is not revealed in a complete way yet. As we need healing of the “six” “lower” depths, 6 corners. The 6 lower sefirot. Which is represented by the “vav”.

The Rav Minachem MiPhano in Gilgulei Neshamos,  mentions Pinchas as a gilgul of Yosef, and how the zealousness of Pinchas in killing Kazbi and Zimri for their perversity achieved a tikkun for Yosef’s earlier slight deficiency. Kazbi was sent to seduce Moses, but she met Zimri first and though he was Moses. It was fitting for Pinchas since Pinchas’ mother was Tzipora’s sister to avenge the Midianites, who sold Yosef to Egypt and forgot also Yitro’s covenant with Moses and God. Yitro was from Midian as Kazbi.

Eliyahu from the tribe of Binyomin had only been in him “ibor” . What remained was the main part was Eliyahu from the root of Gad, and therefore he could no longer be called “Pinchas,” but rather, “Eliyahu HaTishbi,” alluding that his soul was from the tribe of Gad. Prophecy returned to him after he was called “Eliyahu HaTishbi,” and after Shmuel had died so that Nadav and Avihu could return to him in “ibor” during the incident of Mt. Carmel. At that time, the people fell on their faces and said, “YHV”H is Elokim” (I Melachim18:20-29). When they said, this “Nadav and Ahu”  were forgiven for their sin of “cutting off their plantings” when they blemished the Divine Presence.  (Sha’ar HaGilgulim, Chapter 32) What Eliyahu lost he regained: the souls of Nadav and Avihu. With the souls returned his prophecy, never to leave him again. His act of jealousy for God  at Mt. Carmel when he upstaged the priests of Ba’al brought him, the souls of Nadav and Avihu, and the generation of that time, “tikun”.

In the year 3043, almost 600 years!,   from the time Pinchas acted on behalf of G-d to kill Zimri and save the Jewish people from themselves, Eliyahu HaNavi ascended to Heaven in a fiery chariot  (I Melachim 2:11).

Eliyahu found respite in the cave at Har Chorev, until he went up in a windstorm to Heaven. It was Eliyahu HaTishbi from the tribe of Gad who ascended to Heaven, and he did not descend again. However, Eliyahu from the tribe of Binyomin, reincarnated into the one mentioned in the posuk, “And Ya’areshyah, Eliyahu, and Zichri were the sons of Yerucham” (I Divrei HaYomim 8:27). Later, when he died, he ascended to join Eliyahu HaTishbi who had ascended. It is Eliyahu from the tribe of Binyomin who ascends and descends constantly to perform miracles for the righteous, and to speak with them. (Sha’ar HaGilgulim, Chapter 32) Not to mention stops by Seder Night at the houses of Jews around the world towards the end of the Seder when we open the door and recite ‘spill your wrath.” However, in The days of  HaMoshiach, he will have an additional role to fulfill, once redemption becomes a thing of the past, may that be soon in our time: In the “End of Days” in the generation of Moshiach, Moshe will return to teach Torah to Israel and will still be of “uncircumcised lips.” However, Eliyahu,  will be  will be his interpreter.

Minor inequities are purified by the river of fire before gehenom (Hell) called ”Dinar”, while more difficult transgressions require gehenom (hell). A Nashama (Soul)after leaving this world must fall to “Nahar Dinar”and Gehenom (Hell) before entering Gan Eden (the Garden of Eden). Those who while in this world strengthen themselves with the having bold zeal in things of Holiness. Those who when they fall in this world quickly work to rise to a higher level these will ascend from Gehenom (Hell) immediately. But those who blemished the quality of boldness through being bold in things of the otherside, or even worse detering people from serving GOD. These must remain in Gehenom. Through Holy boldness one merits “emuna”. Tishri is the time to develop Holy boldness. Holy boldness is achieved through joy. The shame faced are destined to Gan Aden, as Holy boldness stems from embarrassment, shame of distance from GOD. Sadeekem who don’t perform the mitzvot with proper ”tikun” (fixing), but do them with weak hands, without ”ratzon” (will) of the mitzvot (commandments) themselves. They journey to the Gan Aden below in Yetzera (world of the Ruach-Emotional soul). Where people are rewarded for their emotional ruach attachment to GOD. To get into the Gan Aden (the Garden of Eden) above requires a mitzvah to be done in great love and desire. Aroused by awareness of one’s Nashama (soul of Divine intellect). Because of the weakness of one’s mitzvot they are punished in Gehenom. By blemish in machut shamyim (Yolk of heaven) are punished those who trancend the will of GOD. They are punished mida (attribute) for mida. As Pharoe was punished so to reveal the Malchut (divine). This is the glory of machut shamyim. By this is purified the 7 emotional attributes. Yisreal fought Amalak in a place called “Rafadim” (weakness), referring to the weakness coldness in Yisrael’s hands as they do not fear Elokim, because they did the mitzvot in weakness. This is Amalak, the top level of tuma. Moshe raised his hands on high to overcome the hand of Amalak.1 It is proper for one to sanctify their body, all their limbs. All thoughts, words all they do. One must have zeal so to achieve purity as this will bring Holiness which will bring prophesy and this brings Eliyahu.2 Eliyahu is Pinchas as both were jealous for GOD.3 In our parsha its written “Behold, I give to him my covenant of peace. And he shall have it, and his seed after him, the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the people of Israel.”

Pinhas and  Elyahu were both were very jealous for God. What do we mean ” very jealous for God?” . We know  there is a mitzvah to teach Torah and not change  our lives of “mitzvot”. . During times of religious persecution if a Jew is asked to to make a mockery of Judaism one must die instead; how much more so must he keep learning and teaching Torah during such times! To appreciate the basis of zealousness on behalf of God is the mitzvah of “Kiddush Hashem” (Sanctifying God’s name by giving one’s  life rather than transgressing His will). As such, then a mitzvah of”kana” (Jealousy)  generates “kedushah”  (holiness). “kedushah” has to hide itself to protect to protect itself  from the “sitra achra” which is constantly hovering around wanting to nourish from the “kidusha” (Holiness)  during times of “hester panim”  (the hiding of God’s face) .  You have to be a zealot for  God, for God’s sake not for your own or the other side nourishes from the Divine abundance . Eliyahu never died; he  wanders  the earth for all of time, He Is  a visitor at every Jewish “brit milah” – testifying that God’s people are keeping His covenant. Pinhas who is Elyahu is present at every ”Brit Milah” because his zealousness stems from love of total self sacrifice!  The Brit Milah (circumcision) symbolizes our unique relationship as Jews to self sacrifice for God. Eliyah attends  every family Seder – bearing witness that the people of Israel are  on their path back to redemption, and Eliyahu  visits people  every motzei Shabbat – celebrating and recording the merits of the children of Israel. In the end, Eliyahu will announce the  redemption and return the hearts of parents to their children and the children’s hearts to their parents.

God willing soon the Gilgul of Pinchas comes in his most complete form as Eliyahu HaNavi to end the biggest plague of all, the long and painful exile with the building of the Beis HaMikdash quickly in our days !

Who are the Billam and Balak of today ?

UPDATED                                                               June 24 2018

Balak                                                            Bs”d

When GOD was going to destroy the 2nd Temple Rabbi Yochanon ben Zakkia went to Vaspasian the Roman Emperor and said “Let the righteous flee, and have a safe place of refuge in Yavnah”. At that time the government of Isreal was much like it is today a puppet state of western influence, and not a true Torah Nation.

A couple parsha back it said “ If you go to war in your land against an enemy who oppresses you, then you shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and you shall be remembered before Yhv”h Elohech”a, and you shall be saved from your enemies “ (Bamidbar 10:9) Meaning when evil is close we must negate it by loud spiritual service, real zeal in serving GOD. This is reflected by the action of Pinchas in our parsha. By the zealousness of his actions the judgment against us bringing death to thousands by a plague was stoped. The whole world now is threatened by Islamic extremists. This week in 2014 the Muslims (Isil) declared a Caliphate with the intention of taking over the whole middle east with in 5 years. and then on to impose Islam by force on the rest of the world. Thank God President Trump pretty much finnished off Islamic state in Syria still we daily are facing enemies in our Holy land now, so we are required to harness this zeal. There are enough rockets aimed at Israel right now that could overwhelm the Missile defense shield and kill everyone in Israel God forbid. We must do our best to fight off judgment by adding more and more to Holiness each day with greater purity.

In this weeks parsha the worlds most accurate astrologer Balak, who knew the times most efficient to curse others. worked with Balaam to try to curse Isreal. The Zohar teaches that Balak was a magician , Balaam was a sorcerer. A sorcerer’s power only in his mouth. So Balaam’s power was in his cursing speech from the the evil breath of his mouth. Balak is called “ the son of Tzipor” (bird) because he performed magic using a certain bird. Balak was a greater expert at acts of magic than was Balaam. Moshe the leader of the Jews spent time in Midyon with his father in law Yitro, the Mobites decided to approach the elders of Midian for counsel. The nations Moab and Midian had tremendous hate for each other since their great battle and the defeat of Midian in the field of Moab, now due to their mutual fear of the Jews they made peace with each other. They warned the Midianites that Moses’s  strength was in his power of speech. Therefore they decided to attack Israel through Billam whose strength was also in his mouth.

But things did not work at all as Balak would have liked. This time Billam could not comply with Balak’s request. As a matter of fact the great magician Billam would be put in his rightful place. As we see GOD opened the mouth of Billam’s donkey causing it to speak, in a similar way He also put words in Billam’s mouth. GOD opened the eyes of Billam’s donkey so he could see an angel holding a sword standing in the road blocking their way, which Billam could not see. This man that Balak brought to slay his enemy with his words , is shown that he can’t even kill his own donkey. As Billam said to his donkey “If a had a sword I would slay you”. So why did Billam go with Ballak who, wanted him to curse Yisrael, after GOD told Billam “ You shall not curse these people for they are blessed” ?. He went becouse of self love. His blinding arrogance and pride would not allow him to say “I can’t do it”. We should learn from this also just how dangerous arrogance, pride and self love may be. Know, despite their evil intents GOD can turn the evil intent of the wicked to a blessing for Yisreal. Balak is a decedent of Lot, Billam was so deluded that he thought though God would choose him to  take the Jews out of Egypt. When Moses was chosen instead of him, He became very upset.  Billam tried his best to curse Yisrael but all he could pronounce were blessings. We must never underestimate our enemies, but understand them from  learning about them in the Torah. It is interesting that this prophesy of Moses in Parsha Balak is like a intelligence report from behind enemy lines. The Hebrews were not aware of Billam and Balak’s attack on Yisrael and their subsequent salvation from their hands. Everything was done “behind the scenes”. If it was not written in the Torah, in this parsha, even today we would not know about it. This comes to remind us that man fails to recognize miracles occuring all the time that God makes for us. If we were only aware of this constant showering of endless kindness to us from our blessed creator.

A very ancient REMATCH !

A very ancient, Josephus writes (Antiquities, II, 10:239 et seq.) writes of Moses leading an Egyptian army against the Cushites. The Cushite princess, named Tharbis, watches the battle and falls in love with the valiant Moses. She goes on to help him win the battle, and he fulfils his promise in return to marry her. In some versions, Moses eventually produces a special ring that causes one to forget certain events, and puts it upon Tharbis so that she can forget him. He then returns to Egypt.

Yalkut Shimoni, Shemot says Moses fled to Cush. The Cushites had lost their capital in a war . Their king, named Koknus (קוקנוס, elsewhere called Kikanos or Kikianus, fought a nine-year war that he was unable to win, and then died. The Cushites sought a strong ruler to help them finally end the conflict. They chose Moses, presumably because he had fought alongside the Cushites and had a reputation as a great warrior. Moses did not disappoint, and devised a plan to win the war and recapture the Cushite capital. His enemy was Bilaam ! The grateful Cushites gave Moses Koknus’ royal widow for a wife, and placed him upon the throne.

It interesting to note that Rabbi Auerbach teaches there are 4893 letters in Parsha Balak, 4893= 7 x 699 gematria Balak ben Tzipor melech Moab.

Midrash says Bela, the first king of Edom is Bila’am, and the father’s name Be’or supports this conclusion (this is probably referring to Gilgul (reincarnation). Now, Apparently, he was no longer content to harbor his hatred for the children of his great uncle Yaakov at the nationalistic level alone, he was now working even as a mercenary sorcerer, hiring out to to all who wished to invoke malevolence against the Hebrew people. Bil’am was one of the senior advisors to Par’o, together with Iyov and Yitro. Some of the harshest decrees of Par’o are attributed to Bil’am

Billam said the Famous words “How goodly are your tents, Oh Jacob, your dwelling places, O Israel!” (Numbers 24, 2-5) The secret of this the sages explain is that When Balaam raised his eyes and saw Israel dwelling according to its tribes. He saw that the entrances of their tents did not face each other and he said, “These are worthy to have the Divine Presence among them.” He saw that the Hebrew people acted modestly even in the way they placed their tents all the more so their behavior. It is this which has ensured the wondrous survival of the Jewish nation through out all the generations especially in exile. Such behavior Guards the Holy nature of the Jewish family. It is this, sexual purity and modesty which is the shield of the Israelites. Nothing has changed even today we still need to concern ourselves with the continuity of the Jewish family and the Jewish nation. The dominant rate of assimilation which is prevalent these days could only occur by the disintegration of the Jewish family unit. If you don’t like it through it out and get another. Thus divorce is prevalent and the integrity of the Jewish family unit becomes no more.and so to the Jew. If we want to protect the continuity of Jewish tradition, and the Jewish people we must strengthen the family unit and invest heavily in it. Thereby the following generations will have strong foundations and this will to build the next generation.

Before departing Billam told Balak that he maybe able to destroy the Jewish people by making God angry at them. He told Balak to have the women of Midian seduce the Jewish men causing them to engaging in sexual transgression as this would surely arouse the wrath of God. This plan did work and resulted in a plague where 24,000 people died. It was these same 24,000 souls that were “gilgul” (reincarnated) as the students of Rabbi Akiva who died during the period of the Omer.

No matter how bad it may look. We saw this recently with The disengagement from Gaza and the destruction of the Gush Katif Jewish settlements. By this was created a pure terrorist state at Israel’s border. The Hamas takeover of Gaza fulfills Israel’s wildest dreams. The Hamas rule brands the Palestinians as terrorists, shows them incapable of statehood and hostile to Israel, and removes the peace process from the agenda. It is time the Israeli government stop supplying their sworn enemies with water, electricity and food. Let their patron state Iran build for them power plants and water desalination plants, instead of giving them weapons. Now is the time to seal the Palestinian entity off and deal with it as with enemy a state: ban Palestinian migrant workers, stop issuing any visas to Palestinians, block all shipments, and wage total war when attacked.

THIS PART WAS WRITTEN YEARS AGO AND SEEMS TO BE THE WAY IT IS (FLOTILLAS) , ALL MOST.

The “Nachash” is when Nakavah is alone. עזא“ל and עז“א are in the 2 heels of Leah which are in Ketter of Rachel. It is from here that seized Balak. Billam is swallowed in the heels of Leah in the Head of Rachel. Revelation of עז“א and עזא“ל are in the chest שד“י .1 The ”trefim” of Lavan were from lights feeding of the ”Sitra Achra” from the heels of Leah, from the “tref” of tevunah. When Rachel stole the ”trefim” Lavan lost his wisdom, nullifying the ”chitzonim”

The ”chitzonim” dont seize in Rachel only in Leah. Leah is not a parzuf alone but part of the back of Imma that fell to the “klipot” with the kings of Edom that died, because she is above the chest with lights of Chassadim covering “klipot” seize on to these lights, but in Rachel in the chest and below, there no lights are covering so nothing exposed for Klipot to Seize. The face of Leah faces the back of Z’a. Rachel is back to back with Z’a.1 From sin in Yisrael there is caused Rachel to be back to back with Z’a, because of klipot siezing in Nh”y.2

Lot is a “klippa” from the back of Z’a.3 Leah rises in Keter, and rachel rises up from the ”chizonim”.4 The 3rd world is in back, corresponding to the conclusion of Nh”y of Rachel. From there spreads out Lill”y. Rabbi Chayem Vital says ” these names I did not recieve from my teacher.”5 Nakavah is established in 4 sefirot and from them she receives her actual differences. They are 4 attributes of man the way he sits (Malchut) , walks (netzauch and hod) , leans (yesod), stands (Teferet). Sitting is recieving position, with no spreading out. Standing is ”maspia” (giver), here there is no interruption in flow of lights.6

The Rabbis in the Midrash, teach us Bilaam was a prophet, as great as Moses. They say, God had prophets in Yisrael and the nations. When God sent Moses to Israel, He also sent Bilaam to the nations. While Moses used his power for good purpose, Bilaam used it to gain power and wealth. Moses was the most humble man who ever lived Billam, not so much.

Billam’s character was very arrogant and led him to believe that because of his heightened level of consciousness alone, he thought highly of himself and because of this he interpreted wealth and worldly pleasures as Divine goodness that he deserved. The concept of a life of gratitude and kindness was entirely foreign to Billam’s worldview.

Bilaam had a tremendous power of speech but his power was from the “other side”. Whoever he blessed was blessed; whoever he cursed was cursed until he went against Yisrael. He was a very powerful man, he did not command armies but he had a magical power of speech. Because of ‘free will’  a person can strengthens themselves with the power of the Side of Holiness or the Side of Impurity.  Bilaam was hideously attached to the Side of Impurity. He strengthened himself greatly in wickedness against Holiness until he managed to draw upon himself powers of the Side of Impurity that were equivalent to those seen only by Moshe from the side of Holiness. Bilaam  pretended to be very religious and holy and to abstain from immorality, yet in secret he would do more perverted acts then anyone else. Just because one displays spiritual powers one cannot just assume that they are Divine and Holy, there is much deception  in the world.

Rise to the level of Navua by making a markava to Teferet. There are 3 levels of navua. First level is from chitzonim (the otherside). This is when one’s thoughts are not their own but those of the otherside. This level is tuma (impurity) as Billam and Lavan. They go into pardes peek and tread on the shoots and blemish there. They peek and die. There are those who go in peek tread on the shoots blemishing them and go out. One must be careful not to do this. 2nd is returning to the land. Then one can begin eating the herbs of the field. All the prayers of man his actions and tikun are accepted through this herb and there is accepted all that they do below. As it is invited from above. So it rises above. Behold the secret of the 72 names. They are the secret of the hachalot. All of them open to man according to judgment on his actions. There are many kinds of herbs and fruits. They are one level upon another. Till the upper navua. With the herb of the field they can enter in peace and go out in peace. This is secret of the Nefesh. There is a level above this. It is the supernal bread of Binna. This is secret of the Ruach. This is Hidden in the sefirot. In the shadow of Yisrael is nourished Sucat shalom for us. This is as it is said “By the sweat of your brow you will eat your bread”. A level above this is Trumah it is of Nashama. This is the secret of navua braking forth, until the navua of Moshe. 7

It is written in the Torah ”there was no other prophet who arose in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face.”

Gather friends with shields, swords and lances this is the secret of unification to destroy klipot. So one must hurry to restore the 3 pillars.8

By this the “black” day the Balaks intend for Yisrael turns to a day of blessings. Billam was forced by GOD to speak blessing which lead to messianic revelation ! May we see “ A star go forth from Yisrael” with revelation of our righteous mashiach quickly in our days. And we will see our Righteous Mashiach quickly in our days!

Today’s Billam is the lying unrelenting media. Bilaam’s power was in the ability to convince, sway and mislead all while pretending that he represents God and the Truth, He was a master of corrupt logical arguments. His name ‘Bilaam’  means in Hebrew to “swallow” since he attempts to swallow, hide and conceal everything good and Holy.

Today’s Billam is the lying unrelenting media that is so  badly biased  that it borders on “absurd” . Their unending bombardment of negativity Giving the world a skewed distorted view and portrayal of spirituality and the State of Israel in particular.

They all love to make inflammatory remarks about us, that are ever so far from the truth the US – the EU, the UN, CNN,
BBC and the rest of the world’s sanctimoniously hypocritical “good guys.” ? They would like to destroy your self-identity and self-worth. Making you think that you are no longer unique and special. They do not want you to “know” that you have a Godly mission to fulfill. They want you to think that you are like everyone else. And that you should adopt universalistic values that change constantly . They would like to leave you with no reason  to struggle in following in the way described in the Torah.

With this mission the “media of Billam” works, as Billam’s weapon was his word……………………………..
