A REMINDER OF AMALAK BEFORE PURIM ! Amalak is a transmigratory group of souls who Hate God and those who wish to do God’s will. To the nation of Amalek there is nothing good; they are doomed to utter destruction. That is because their traits are anger and destruction. These traits have no counterpart on the side of good and must ultimately be gotten rid of entirely !, There are those from Amalak who have chose to convert and become Jews, then they are no longer Amalak. But this is most unusual.
“God wants the HEART ” this has to be one of the most obvious things in the world. God wants SINCERE Torah learning and performing of “mitzvot”! Not empty Torah and thoughtless “mitzvot” ? Amalak wants the opposite. They want to fill your life distractions. Anything that will interfere with your Divine service. They want you to be so distracted that you can’t really focus properly on the things that are most important, your Divine service ! The transmigratory group of souls called Amalak tries to distract us away from thinking about “mitzvot” when we do them.
Amalek tries to plant doubt in our mind’s concerning the authenticity of the Torah and our relationship with God, if these doubts come to manifestation , then soon will Amalak appear on the scene , God forbid, as we see in the Torah Amalek appears the moment Israel says: “Is God with us or not?” (Ex 17:7-8).
Amalek is the thorn forever in the side of the Jewish people. They try to block our national and personal spiritual accomplishments. Amalek thrives on our lack of enthusiasm and our lack of clarity of purpose. Amalek is at the very root of evil. When we break the klippa of Amalek we will bring ourselves and the whole world to its ultimate Tikun (rectification).
WARNING !
The Divine names found in the Bible like Elohem”e, Sd”y, and YHV”H. YHV”H IS PRONOUNCED AS ADN”Y. Due to their sanctity they are NOT pronounced, except in a Biblical verse or part of a Verse or in prayer.
Knowledge of God’s Name can be a dangerous thing for people who bend, twist and distort things to fit their personal belief, when it is not in accordance with The Torah and the tradition of the sages as has been received from the prophets. This involves the sin of blasphemy and “You shall NOT take the Name of YHV”H your God in vain for YHV”H will not absolve anyone who ‘takes’ His Name in vain.” (Shemoth 20:7) Desecrating God’s Name carries with it serious consequences. With great blessing comes great responsibility.
~ The great, glorious, fearsome name,YHVH is a name that includes all the other divine names that are mentioned in the Torah. There is no divine name that is not included in the name YHVH. If you were to pronounce it, you take on your lips all the holy names upon which depend the universe and everything in it. You must realize that when you pronounce the name, sounding out its letters with the motions of [the] tongue, [you] agitate all universes, both above and below. All the angels rise up and ask each other, “why is the universe trembling?” And the answer, “because some wicked person is pronouncing the Explicit Name, sounding out its letters with his lips. As a result of these vibrations, every Name and appellation that depends on it, reverberate, and Heaven and earth tremble.” Then they say, “and who is this wicked person who makes the universe tremble, pronouncing the Great Name without reason? He is this wicked person, who did these sins on this day, and those misdeeds another day.” As a result, all of his individual’s sins are recalled. When you shake the trunk of the tree, you cause all of its branches and leaves to tremble. Likewise, when a person pronounces the letters of YHVH, all the host on high and below tremble, since they all depend on it. The only place where this was not true was in the Holy Temple. When the high priest would pronounce this Name in the Temple, all the host of heaven would rejoice and would receive the divine influx. For in doing this, the high priest would rectify all the supernal channels, and blessing would be brought to everything in the universe
(Shaarey Orah 46b quoting Shaarey Kedusha).
Rabbi Yitchak the Blind wrote in his commentary to Safer Yetzera that when King David dug the pits , and the deep sought to drown the world, Achitofel taught David the forty – two letter Divine Name , and he wrote it on a clay shard and tossed it into the deep, so that it didn’t drown the world. The whole world dried up, and he had to say the 15 ” Shir haMalot ” of the Psalms , corresponding to the 15 inner degrees , and for every degree [the deep] ascended a degree , and the world was restored to its normal condition.

BEWARE, if you use information from this blog and distort it for purpose of avodah zara (strange worship) there could be severe consequences. Those who pursue such knowledge for the wrong reasons are asking for trouble. Using it for personal benefit or for purpose of promoting a particular belief, especially if it is errant or idolatrous, is dangerous. Anyone who would use it for the sole purpose of elevating their status amongst peers is headed in the wrong direction. All of these things are an improper use of God’s Name. It would constitute the “taking/use” of God’s Name in vain as mentioned above. It should not be seen as a ‘tool’ to use for the acquisition of fame or status.
On the other hand if you sincerely wish to come closer to God; to more fully appreciate His Torah; to understand lofty subject matters and to do what is acceptable in His sight then there is great reward in knowing God’s Name.

Exodus 14.19-21
19: And the angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud removed from before them, and stood behind them;
20: and it came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel; and there was the cloud, and darkness here, yet gave it light by the night there; and the one came not near the other all the night.
21: And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all the night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.
These three passages in Exodus (14.19-21) describe the miracle of parting of the Reed Sea. Each of these 3 consecutive verses in the original Hebrew has 72 letters exactly. From these verses a special arrangement is made of their 216 letters so to reveal the hidden 72 three letter Names of God.
These are the 72 names, The 72 Names of God have extraordinary power to overcome the laws of nature in all forms, including human nature.
Meditation on the 72 Names can repair you on the soul level and the world in general according to you actions and by passing the demanding tests of life. accordingly the names will be effective. By meditating on these names we receive “knowledge that is not learned from human traditions or derived from intellect and analysis. ” Rabbi Avraham Abulafia teaches that one should Breath in when speaking the letters and exhale with the vowels. Each 3 letter name involves twelve breaths. One can also discover that each Name has a relation to a specific verse in the Torah. Where the name appears in the verse or spelled our in the ‘Rosh’ and ‘Sof’ “Tevot” (first and last letters of words). Each Vowel has a specific head movement as well. Rabbi Abulafia says when the power of the abundance begins to manifest letters and the Sefirot begin to appear like lightening flashes, as the visions of the Chayot (living creatures). As it is said, “The Chayot ran and returned, like a vision of lightning.” Rabbi abulafia says that we have a tradition that the divine influx will come to a perfected individual after he completes 24 of the 3 letter names. This is alluded to in the word “my Beloved” Dodi =24 in Hebrew. thus it is written, “The sound of my Beloved (Dodi) is knocking.” (Song of Songs, 5.2)
Parsha Bishalach Bs”d
Parshah Beshalach is made up of 6,423 Hebrew letters, 1,681 Hebrew words, and 116 verses, and can occupy about 216 lines in a Torah Scroll, the same number of letters as in the 72 names.
From אז comes forth the seventy two names.
Some people never learn. You would think after all those plagues in Egypt Pharoe would give it up all ready. But no, he evidently did not have enough so he pursues after the children of Yisrael into the desert and right into the sea where all his chariots and men come to their final resting place buried under the water. Some people never learn.
Yet for Yisrael it was not easy either. Only six hundred thousand Israelites survived the plague of darkness and made it to stand at the sea. The six hundred thousand who made their way to the sea were 1/5th of the original population of 3 million.
They stood at the lip of the sea fearing their destruction from the advancing chariots. The water would not split for them until Nachshon Ben Aminadav jumped in. One just has to have the determination to go for it, and then the result will be accomplished. As at the sea. Moses invoked 72 names to split the water of the sea but someone still had to jump in. Heaven has many blessings for you, but you need to do something about it.
Moses was the only prophet to receive prophesy from the masculine aspect of GOD. All else received from the feminine aspect. Rabbi Nachunya’h Ben Hakannah teaches Moses was from the “smittah” (time period) of Chesed, which has already passed. As now is the “smittah” of givurah. So he asked “why do you bring me here?, I’m from the place of rachamim (mercy) without yetzer hora (evil inclination) or sin ”. Bina (Divine understanding) responded “ I bring you for the need of the world, to take Yisrael out from Egypt, to bring 10 plagues, and have Yisrael pass through the sea on dry land, and to bring Yisrael to Sini to receive the Torah. You have the power to deliver them as you are from the smittah of Chesed.” No matter where you came from, what ever background you have GOD’s will is for you. By its force you can fulfill His will. There may be obstacles to overcome. As its taught. Uz”a was the angel over the reed sea He descended to complain against Yisrael. Even with all the obstacles one must just jump into it. Its said at the splitting of the reed sea a slave saw more then the Prophet Ezekiel. Yisrael saw at Sini what the nations have never seen.
Our parsha Bishalach is in the second book of the Torah called in the holy tongue “smot” meaning names, while it is usually translated as Exodus. This parsha has 3 verses in a row each having exactly 72 letters. From these 3 verses are assembled 72 three letter names of Divine power. It was by these names Moses was able to split the waters of the sea and cause them to stand like a wall. Even when the physical nature of water is the opposite of this. This allowed Yisrael to walk then across the sea on dry land. Also each of these Holy names has specific qualities one name pushes away evil, another draws mercy from the highest place and another helps one receive secrets. It is by Knowledge of the name of GOD that Yisrael is distinguished from the nations and given a role directing Divine providence instead of being passive recipients.
In the Book Brit Minuchah it states Now there are few Mikubalim , but there has not been diminished or interrupted the flow or power of rulership in the world. The Mikubal is not lacking in His power of rulership. The flow is free to all who have emunah. But to those of little faith, they must pay with merit. The guarding angels are the merit. By them one enters the Markava (Divine Chariot), or is prevented. They are the limits. Rabbi Moses Cordevero teaches Sarafim Chayot and ofanim (levels of angels) were only created to help even if they are masters of “sarim” (supernal supervisors) and song they help men. Breath dresses in the words of tefila in segulot (supernatural powers) of arrangement of the words in ”kavana” (intention) in breath and voice with out speech. The name Yhv”h it is not our custom to pronounce in its own letters, but we do so with Ahy”h. This rides on our voice. By this is built yichus (relationship) on the names. And this is the elevation of elevations. Becoming a master of the names and working in them. The way of the voice of Yhv”h its work is revealed. This is the elevation of elevation. It is closed and concealed, not revealed. Because if one becomes accustomed to contemplate it in its letters there is Revelation of the markava, but this is hidden. So it is not pronounced, but it is the power of ruling is of the highest elevation upon all the world of Atzilut. If it were pronounced it would rule all the sefirot that are comprehended, but this is not so. It rules all in a hidden way. But Ahy”h guards upon the Hosts of the hachel (palace) proper to guide showing revelation of the Emanater. Pronounced shows concerning works that will be accomplished in the future, now and what has already passed. This thing cannot be comprehended at all, but it is a concealed thing.
Moses expresses from the depth of his heart the spiritual essence of Judaism that leads to redemption.: “Ozi Vezimrat Yah Vayehi Li Liyshu’a” – “My strength and the singing of God shall be my redemption” (Exodus 15:2). Moses presents a formula for redemption which relies on 2 different sources of power: the first my own strength, the second is the song of God.
Concerning the Teferet (balance) of invocation of Divine names the Ramcha’l teaches that in order to work a name a man must remember the name of the illuminary to arouse its light, and its angel from it who goes over to do its work. The work is the ruling of GOD and the name causes its arousal. The light of all your learning shines in your “tikunim” (fixings) filling all the Divine names. Rabbi Rosin teaches Love of Yisrael is a segulah (miraculous power) itself to draw into the letters and permutations of Holy names to illuminate and flow by way of avoda (divine service). GOD created the world in His Name, and rules it in His Names. So pray and by the purity of your observance of the Mitzvot from selfless dedication we will merit to see soon all our enemies destroyed and the Arrival of our righteous Mashiach in mercy quickly in our days.
After seeing so much Divine at the sea. It seems many did not internalize the experience. Sometimes understanding and seeing is not enough as after the splitting the sea the people still did not trust in GOD enough to believe and that He could provide them with water. Another miracle was required, Moses had to make Bitter waters fit for drinking. He did this by throwing a tree in the water. By “throwing” the Tree of life (Torah) into the waters (anything you do) they become fit to drink. So do everything for the sake of heaven.
Then comes the Manah, the bread of heaven. Thus by this order of events we see that if you sweeten the bitter waters of this world (raising the sparks), revealing GOD in the world. By this is sweetened the forces of judgment. And one comes to live in a world that is like all Shabot in a sense. So the next command in our parsha is Shabot. The test of the manah is similar to the trial of today which many fail. One of the most common complaints of Jews today concerning Shabot is that they just cant keep it, they need to work. This is very similar to the generation in the desert who were forbidden to gather their Manah on the Shabot. They had to trust in Hashem , that He would provide all their needs. Its interesting to note that in Hebrew manah is “mun”. Money in transliteration is my manah. there are no coincidences. Rav Yuhudah said in the name of Rav ” If the Jewish people would have kept the first Shobot no nation would have ever had dominion over them. But is says in the Torah ” On the 7th day some people went out to gather” (smot 16:27) Right after this it says “Then came Amalak” (Smot 17:8). Rashi says on this that Amalak came because the Jews Doubted Divine providence.
The Israelites went up out of Egypt “chamushim”. Rashi cites two interpretations for the word “chamushim”. One, based on the root CHAMESH meaning five, because only one in five Jews agreed to leave Egypt; and the other from the root CHIMUSH, meaning armed with weapons.
There are Jews who distance themselves from Judaism by overlooking our unique history and our God-appointed mission. From a overview of Jewish history one observes a ongoing process of winnowing out large portions of people – similar to a healthy body that rejects foreign organs and detrimental intruders. Of the many millions of Jewish men who were slaves in Egypt, only Yehoshua bin Nun (Joshua) and Calev ben Yefuneh (Caleb) entered the Land at the end of the 40-year sojourn in the desert. Perhaps millions, of Jews of the northern tribes were exiled to points east by King Shalmaneser of Assyria and were lost to the Jewish nation. Who can estimate the number of Jews who were cut off from our people by conscious assimilation? And the process is continuing in full strength to this day. The process cannot be denied or tempered, it continues “full strength” to this very day. In our parsha we see this thinning out of the Jewish people “big time” as only one in five Jews were able to leave Egypt. These days assimilation has removed countless numbers of our people. This process is being accelerated through the conservative and reform movements which are busily undermining the basic framework of spirituality leading to assimilation. Also by the Second World War many pure tzaddikim were also murdered as the Gemara in Bava Kama states that when a decree is implemented in a specific place, all those who are there even the righteous are victims. In such a place the angel of death does not choose between the righteous and the wicked . Also with the help of Islamic terror the Jewish population is being thinned out. In Egypt 80% of the Jewish people had plans for their lives that ran contrary to the wishes of God; this hastened their death in the plague of darkness.
Towards the end of the parsha is the 3rd incident with water. Moses there needs to draw water from a rock. It is here Moses becomes angry with the people and hits the rock. It is said because of this Moses could not enter Aretz Yisrael. This is a pretty strong warning against anger. Its said the water Moses brought out of the rock was Torah for the “Erev Rav” (mix multitude) as taught by the Ar”i HaKodesh in Safer Lecutim. We see this “tikun” (fixing) even for Moses was a difficult matter. But they must be dealt with as the event following water from the rock is the Attack from Amalak (the innate enemy of GOD and his people). But the parsha concludes with GOD promising Vengeance on Amalak and may we see it soon with our righteous messiah.
The sword of the Holy One Blessed be He is the sword of all four letters of the name of GOD יהו”ה, just like there are 4 death penalties of the court. The letter Yud of the name is the head of the sword, for all is in accordance with the decree of the head, which are the Sefirot of Keter and Chochmah. The Vav is the body of the sword 2 Hey are two mouths of the sword, because the action of judgment in action comes about through the Malchut which is the mouth that decrees the decree of judgment of the power of the mouth above which is the Binah.
It is said of Yesod, “The thousand are to you Solomon.” (Songs 8:12) Solomon, embodies Yesod, כתף= 500 (shoulder). However, each shoulder by itself only equals five hundred, the gematria of the concealed letters of the “meloy of שד”י like thisשין דלת יוד
The sword of the Tetragrammaton is clothed in its sheath which is the name of ארנ”י in secret of unification above with below.
The fortress called “Alexandrion” is at a Height of 377 meters (1237 feet) above sea level. At this summit is the Alexandrion fortress built by King Alexander Yannai (ca. 126-76 BCE) or by Queen Salome Alexandra (Shelomziyyon HaMalka) in 90 BCE. (and Latinised as “Alexandrium”), is mentioned by Josephus . It was mentioned in the Talmud as “Sartaba” and is now called “Qarn Sartabe” (lit. “Horn of Sartabe”) in Arabic. The fortress was constructed by the Hasmoneans on a pointy barren hill towering over the Jordan Valley from the west. It was likely named after Hasmonean king Alexander Jannai. (104-77 BCE). Alexandrium was constructed by the Hasmoneans near the border with Samaria to accommodate a military garrison, as well as to guard political prisoners. It is mentioned during Pompey’s conquest of Judea”…as he passed by Pella and Scythopolis, he came to Corem, which is the first entrance into Judea when one passes over the midland countries, where he came to a most beautiful fortress that was built on the top of a mountain called Alexandrium, whither Aristobulus had fled. The Alexandreion was restored by Herod , a task he assigned to his brother Pheroras. Herod gave it the character of a palatial desert fortress, similar to those he built or rebuilt at Masada, Herodion and Machaerus. Herod used the fortress as a prison for his political opponents, holding his 2nd wife, Mariamne and her mother, Alexandra there in 30 BCE. It was also the burial site of Alexander, son of Herod, and Aristobulus, two of his sons whom Herod had executed at Sebaste in 7 BCE. During the Second Temple Period it was a signal mount, where fires were lit to announce a festival and new moon. in the Talmud, its said to be the first stop after Jerusalem where beacons would be lit when a new moon was sighted; this ancient method of relaying information allowed the news to reach the Jews in Babylon in a short time.
Following their mother’s death, Hyrcanus and Aristobulus struggled for the kingship. Pompey had just entered Syria to protect Rome’s eastern frontier against the Parthians. Hyrcanus went to Damascus to seek his backing. Aristobulus set out in the same direction, but his pride overcame him: he would not bow and scrape before Rome! Instead, he withdrew to the fortress of Alexandrion (aka Sartaba; see map above). Favoring Hyrcanus, Pompey marched against Aristobulus, who withdrew further to Jerusalem. On seeing the Roman display of force, he had second thoughts and went out to surrender. Yet his own troops refused to accept the deal, and Pompey, taking Aristobulus captive, set about conquering the city (erecting siege ramps on Sabbath, when the Jews would not fight back!). It was on this occasion that Pompey stepped into the Holy of Holies and did terrible things there..
The fortress was destroyed by Gabinius (1st century BCE Roman governor) but then rebuilt. Alexandrium was finally destroyed by Vespasian or Titus during the Great Revolt. The fortress destroyed around 70 CE.
There still exists Remains of fortress, aqueduct and plastered pools. The cisterns built into the mountain can be seen from the main road. The cone-shaped mountain has not been excavated, and little can be seen of the fortress, other than some columns. Parts of well built Roman Roads still can be see leading to the fortress.
Years’ worth of sporadic plundering has been replaced by systematic use of heavy machinery to empty a site of its treasures, then build over it. Using metal detectors to locate valuable coins and other artifacts, thieves burrow through the historic strata, rendering them unidentifiable. The evidence is clearly visible in the scarred and pitted ground awaiting construction, and the damage to such sites is irreparable.
The consequences are clear. These sites are being destroyed, together with the priceless information they contain. Some, like Khirbet a-Tabiqa (the biblical Beth Zur) and Tel el-Natsba (thought to be Mizpah, a central site in the book of Samuel), are slowly becoming residential areas. Second Temple cities such as Archelais and Alexandrion (Sartaba) are raided daily.

The Word of God was intended to be a light to the nations.
The Word of God is alive and lived.
The Word of God is in Earth, it is in Heaven.
The Word of God is in everything and everywhere.
You need to see beyond written word in the Bible into the living, breathing , moving Soul of the text, until that it’s Wisdom speaks out to you personally as “Ruach HaKodesh” (Divine inspiration).
All believers, like it or not stand together with the secular atheist of so called “modernity” standing against “them”
The religious dogmatist who says “God is only with them”
Deny the omnipresence of God
Christians have fought and killed each other for centuries arguing whose church is right and
whose is false.
Shiite and Sunni Muslims have also been killing each other centuries also.
One thing is known closeness to God’s “personal” revelation is not a product of superficial religious mediocrity this has only has brought us to a decline in Divine awareness and consciousness, of true love and awe of our Blessed Creator It is such behavior that has made serving God look absurd and shoved it away from its proper place being at the center of human existence. To something most people think of as only a “waste of time”. As “superficial religious mediocrity” is worse than a “waste of time”. When only the outer aspects of religious ritual are stressed devoid of any spirituality and vitality we find those who then “observe religion” are doing so out of a “unnatural” coercion. Know one’s as these who are “religious” out of “unnatural” coercion are quick to pounce on and condemn any who are independently spiritually minded, this being the opposite of their own “motivation”. They also corrupt and sabotage others who are returning to the God in a “real” way. They will do this without mercy or regard for the other person whatsoever, as they don’t see them as one like themselves, and in truth they are not. To put it simply some are into spiritual exploration, soul searching and self improvement others are not. The are only doing what they think the “have to”. Contrary to popular “religious” opinion there is nothing stagnant about Spirituality it is always a open door of opportunity that leads the way to profound transformations. True spirituality leads one to the new crossroads, to the sacred events in one’s life. Unless one strengthens them self to the point of taking a “personal” interest in their spiritual service with reverence coming from a deep abiding love of God founded in acknowledgement of the truth, it is like they are incarcerated in a “dark prison”. Those “religious” who act like this seem to others like a light house, which has no light bulb. This has driven away the majority of human beings from exploring spirituality as they see its followers as stupid or at worst insane.
One thing unites Christians Muslims and Jews the all believe in the God of Israel , the Maker of the Heaven and Earth.
Every one will know no the absolute truth of things when Heaven decides to send our long awaited Messiah.
Behave with righteousness, integrity, morals and character, then you are acting as a child of God.
You will be judged based upon what is in your heart and the works your hands, and
not by what is in your head.
Every religious tradition speaks about Judgment as being a review of our deeds, not
our theology!
When the Messiah comes we can all gather around him and he will answer all our questions.
But, until that blessed hour comes, maybe we should all gather together as a community of righteous souls and support one another. For regardless of our differences, what unites us is even greater.
Spiritual sincerity is key to coming close to GOD. There is a level of “religious” activity , “service” that cannot be considered to be a level of Divine service at all. This must be discussed so to break the delusions these people have fallen into imagining that they are serving God. These are people who fulfill the commandments completely by rote, with no thought whatsoever. To them the commandments are actually a burden. Their minds and hearts are not involved in the Torah which they learn or the commandments which they perform. Their performance of the commandments is completely mechanical devoid of vitality. Although they pray and it appears they are praying to God in truth they are not. Their mind most of the time is somewhere else as they pray. God they have never contemplated , they do not know God at all. Their prayer not arouse any feeling at all. This being no different than mentioning the name of an individual that one does not know. These souls “religious” activities are made like trained animals which have been taught to act in a certain way.
Another great error in Divine service or appoaching it happens when a person creates stimulation of the emotions by from false delusions and imaginations external things which really have nothing to do with God at all. He may fire up his emotions by singing and dancing but to this there is no inner illumination or vitality. In truth God has nothing to do with his excitement. We can say this as in his mind, no Divine contemplation has taken place. He has only excited himself into a frenzy. Just like one can excitement oneself over a horse race or a hobby or nothing at all. But the excitement cant be over God. As he does not know anything of God that would arouse his emotions so towards Him. This is also not at all a level of Divine service. This person only serves himself, he does not desire to toil in the service of God. So to truey discover Him. He only seeks the pleasure and thrill of arousing his emotions.
The true excitement over Godliness is preceded and inspired by contemplation and meditation of the Divine, as said, “You shall know this day” and only afterwards “and you shall place it upon your heart”. True Godly excitement is aroused through the toil of learning and meditation on God and the true nature of existence in a detailed way.
To become a member of the Sanhedrin (the supreme court) of the Jewish people. One has to be able to prove that a pig is Kosher, and it is not. This shows us that God wants thinking people, not only people that are intellectually honest, but they need to be creative thinkers. People that can see things from ‘every angle’. To be a judge of the Sanhedrin it is not enough to just blindly follow the will of God. God wants us to follow his ways from a depth of knowledge. DO NOT BE MISTAKEN, IN TRUTH A PIG CAN NEVER BE KOSHER. But God does want us to be open creative thinkers.
Young people are leading the march towards secularism. They think organized religion is out of touch with reality, irrelevant and illogical. Because of this we as spiritual people need to focus on what is real and what lasts. What is real is spiritual experience, what is meaningful is wisdom and what we want to do needs to have that meaning.
Dogmatic religion is the exact opposite of that. Such religion says do what you’re told, never mind understanding it. Religion says follow tradition or suffer the consequences. Religion says go to services even if you don’t like it. Religion is saying a lot of things, but now no one is listening. Thank God.
People who accept such religion as their way of life are being illogical. As these institutionalized religious organizations are out of touch with reality. People must focus on what is real and what is true. Concerning this God teaches in the Torah :
.
“With their mouths they honor me, but their hearts are far from Me.” (Yeshayahu 29:13)
How can a religious person give their heart to God in their Divine service when their “religion” is out of touch with reality, irrelevant and illogical. They have no real spiritual experiences. Just doing what you’re told, never mind understanding it is not the ‘service of the heart’ that God desires.

When a person, like a baal teshuva, decides to leave his culture and join another, the beginning of the process is one of rebellion against the culture he grew up in. A big, healthy part of the process is realizing all the lies of the world he lived in before. Realizing how empty it is and why he’s choosing to follow a different path. Often, he’s rebelling against his own parents. Rebelling against everything he learned.
The problem is that most baal teshuvas think that the rebellion ends there. I felt like that for a while. I know many others who still feel that way. They think, “Okay, that world I left was bad, so now I need to fit into this new world as much as possible.”
But there is a problem: the orthodox world, unfortunately, is just as messed up as the “outside”.
Most of us don’t realize this at first because we connected through some outside force, like a Chabad house or a yeshiva in Jerusalem or something else. And in that world, we lived in our own culture, sheltered from the universe we were about to enter.
But eventually we run into that truth. We enter the culture and we find out that there are many rabbis that can’t be trusted. We realize that not everyone is as idealistic as the people who brought us into the fold. And that perhaps some of the people that brought us into the fold weren’t as great as we thought they were.
In sum: we realize that a culture does not equal truth.
And then we have a choice.
One option is to just do our best to fit in, trying forever to make sure we never stand out. There are many, perhaps the majority, who choose this path. They force themselves into a square hole, even though they are round pegs. They push in all their features that make them stand out, push in until it’s no longer outwardly apparent even to them. They feel like they’ve made the right choice for themselves.
I don’t care what anyone says, the majority of the people that choose that option are killing themselves. They’re hiding who they are in a false attempt at modesty.
I’m sure there are one in a thousand baal teshuvas who are somehow naturally programmed to fit into the orthodox world and love it from the get go. But the rest are hiding a pain from the world and from themselves. A pain that comes from not living the life you were meant to live. A pain that comes from hiding from a truth that is right in front of your face.
That truth is this: the orthodox world is a culture. It does not (necessarily) reflect truth or reality or what G-d wants. Sure, they do it better than the rest of the world, but that’s not a very good measuring stick. This doesn’t make the culture bad, it just makes it normal. We live in Galut, in a messed up world, and it is only natural that even the parts of the world that claim to be doing G-d’s will are making a ton of mistakes.
And a baal teshuva is uniquely positioned to notice those mistakes. He comes to Judaism with a fresh perspective. While, yes, he needs to spend much of his process letting go of a lot of the falseness he picked up throughout his life, he also brought along plenty of his own truth. That’s why he chose to be a baal teshuva in the first place: he already had a voice within him, guiding him, that caused him to finally choose to be an orthodox Jew.
And so it is inevitable that he will notice inconsistencies in the culture of the orthodox world. It is inevitable that he will be bothered by them. It is inevitable that he will want to change things.
And so, after he rebels against the world that brought him up, he now must rebel against the world that brought him in. And the people that brought him into the world of orthodoxy may not like it at first. They may be bemused, confused, unnerved. But if they are smart they will understand why their charge has chosen a path of rebellion.
Because the rebellion isn’t a real rebellion. Not like the one against the secular world. It’s not a rejection. Rather, it’s a recognition that the baal teshuva has access to a unique truth and perspective.
We see this happening already. I talked to a Chabad rabbi recently who started embracing green technology because, as he put it, “The Torah is pretty clear about its position on waste.”
He never would have made that decision without baal teshuvas guiding him. Showing him how the culture he grew up in didn’t have all the answers.
We see it in the world of arts, something the orthodox world is seriously lacking, something that has falsely been accused of being a haven of falseness. Creativity is slowly flourishing within our world, and it will continue to do so the more baal teshuvas choose to rebel, choose to access their true selves.
And there are even more obvious things. From small, like not being so down with talking during prayers to big things like breaking down the barriers between sects.
Whether we like it or not, our job as baal teshuvas is to always rebel. It is to turn every part of the world inside out, and that includes the orthodox one. Because Geula won’t come by us all being frum. Rather it’ll come by us all becoming committed to having a real relationship with G-d and then doing our utmost to bring out G-d’s truth into the world, whether it’s popular, whether it’s accepted, whether it’s “religious”, or not
A few terms and concepts are explained at the bottom of the post for those who are not so familiar To get the most out of the Spiritual path taught here one needs to begin with the writings under the category called “The Guide”. The teachings there make a vessel so that one’s soul can ascend, and work with the meditative practices taught here. From learning “The Guide” one will become familiar with the terms also that are necessary to access this wisdom. So Enjoy and Grow !
In last weeks parsha GOD states “ The Children of Isreal shall keep the Shabot throughout their generations”. After the giving of the Shabot Moses is given the 2 tablets of the law written by the finger of Elohem”e. In the beginning of this weeks parsha the commandment is given “ six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest. It shall be a holy day to you. Whoever works on this day shall surely be put to death”. How can this be as people are unfortunately working on Shabot, and they are still walking around ?.
Its known that on the Holy Shobot there is revealed more Chuchmah (Wisdom-creative inspiration). It says “Chuchmah enlivens its owner”, and the source of this חיים (life force) is שכל .1 (intellect) We draw from The main aspect of life which is in Chuchmah.2 All מזון (nourishment) and flow is from Bina (Divine understanding), but nourishment of the upper King is from Chuchmah. From here is heaven nourished as it says ”Chuchmah makes alive its owner”, and the land to flow in Malchut o בן ישי(King David) Who is בן ישי (son who has י ( י refers to Teferet (balance-harmony).3 Decent from Atzilut (world of Divine creativity) to Bria (world of Divine Understanding) is always called death.4 When a man transgresses any of the prohibitions of the Torah they receive death from heaven and are cut off. 5 The limbs of a man correspond to branches of the supernal markava (chariot). The malvush (garment) of Canneset Yisrael is in 248 limbs of Atzilut which are angels. There are 248 lights in Adam elyon (supernal man) from 248 mitzvot (affirmative Biblical commandments). So that by each of the 248 mitzvot there does not rule the tuma (impurity) of death (on its cooresponding limb). All the 248 positive commandments are masculine being Teferet that is drawn from Chesed. 365 days of the year come in from the 365 branches of din (judgment) of the supernal tree. They are from the aspect of פחד (great fear) drawn from the feminine side, so women are obligated to guard all 365 prohibitions of the Torah. Prohibitions are from din (stern judgment). So do not transgress the prohibitions. 6 Not eating the atz dat tov and rah (tree of good and evil) are 365 prohibitions. They are like sexual offenses, places of ruling of the chizonim (the other side). One who enters the gan and comes unto the chizonim there, there is aroused unto him supernal givurot (forces of severity-restriction). They flow to the malchut (Divine presence), and this disturbs minuchah (pleasant rest), givurot flow to the chitzonim. When a man comes unto these, death rules upon him, God forbid. The atz dat tov (tree of good) is mitzvot and that which is permitted. The mitzvot are atz Chyim (tree of life), that which is permitted is atz dat tov. 7 “Atz Chyim” is Z’a (source of Ruach-Emotional soul), “Atz Dat” is Nakavah (source of the animal soul called Nefesh). One is life the other is death. Whoever involves themselves with them, but gives more consideration to Nakavah when She is separate from Z”a causes to himself death in this world and “olam Haba” (world to come).8 sedek” is “Atz Chym” it arrouses against death, and delivers those attached to it.9
Immediately after the giving of the commandment of Shabot it says “Take a offering to Yhv”h, he who is of a willing heart.” May we have such a “willing heart” arroused from between the “Caruvim” that are upon the ark of the covenant as described in our parsha. “Navua” (prophesy) rests on the heart of man. Its called nefesh in the heart. If the lungs merit song of Ruach Hakodesh we say the caruvim spread there wings to receive three ”chayot” of the marcava. The four winds of the world are emanated from the four wings of the Chayot. They correspond to four legs of the thrown. The heart is an aspect flesh from the side of the ox.10
This portion of the Torah, Pekudy is all about accounting. It is in this case the accounting of the assembly of the parts of the Mishcon (tabernacle). Which is representative of the order of the supernal things. The levels of the unfolding of the Divine. In the accounts of the Mishcon are great secrets concerning the Divine names. Things that are not spoken.
A thing cannot be settled in its place till its name has been called, and it is set there. Hashem decided to list the aspects of the Torah and parts of the “Mishcon” as they together are one and cannot be separated.1 The “mishcon” was consecrated as a body which contains a “ruach”.2 All measurements of the “miscon” are those of kav midah (spiritual powers distribution device).3Kav midah spreads to malchut (Divine presence-physical). It gives power to spread out in all her forces.4 Botzina Kardinita (lamp of Divine will) gives mida (measure) to all midot (measurements), this is the idea of Kav midah which measures out all midot. The light dressing in all the sefirot. Which is their Nashama. It’s existence is concealed being Nashama of Bina, that is Nashama of Chuchmah that is Nashama of Keter. All the days of a man refers to kav midah spreading out within measuring midot. This is the secret of supernal life force spreading out from Keter to Chuchmah. Its midah being measured. Such is man. supernal life force spreading out from kav midah.5 All measurements are of the mida (attribute) of Malchut.6 The Supernal forces above are together in a unity of 12 parts these correspond to :
Gold, Silver, Brass, “Techalet”, “Argaman”, Scarlet, Fine Linnen, Goats Hair, Rams Skins dyed Red, “Tachash”, “Shittim Wood”, Oil for Light, “ketoret”, and spices of the annointing oil. These 12 forces are all under the 4 “chayot” (angels). All these move towards the כסא (thrown) to lift her on high so that she may join her spouse. So that together they may be in glory. The most high sits on the כסא in perfect union with His Spouse. So there is joy in the world. The elements are listed according to their values here below. But in the “Markava” above it is the opposite. There silver is before Gold, but here the left comes before the right.7 The inner most alter was for Incense, it is the “small still voice.8 The ten curtains are the sefirot of malchut.9 The 50 gold and brass clasps appeared as the color “argaman”.10 (red-purple).The boards are chuchmah they are the angels “Seraphim” of the world of Bria.11 The Caruvim are Nezauch and Hod their wings on the parochet is Yesod.12 The Caruvim are Teferet and Malchut. The parochet (curtain) separate between the kodesh, these are 7 sefirot, they are the Chyot and the Kadosh Kadoshim. These are the first 3 sefirot. These are the Chyot of Atzilut. Sarafim are between the אולם and alter, Chayot are from the alter to outside the Azarah.13 The mishcon’s sockets are “Nogah” (sparks) from the chest of teferet (harmony) of nogah. The floor of the “mishcon” refers to aspects that are underneath it being forces of strong judgment. There is no soul that cannot understand both the simple and the Kabalistic meaning.14
To help aid the novice, the beginner in reading this I have included here some of the terms and concepts found in these teachings. The terms revolve around 5 concepts. The Names of God. The levels of the soul. The order and way of unfolding of the Divine Light. This is what is called knowledge of the “parzufim” (Divine faces). One could call this spiritual anatomy. The Worlds. Knowledge of the 10 Sefirot, these are the emanations of Divine energies which are the building blocks of all that was, is and will be.
Upon each of these subjects I have written a book. Yet the real understanding of the levels of the Soul, spiritual anatomy, the sefirot, worlds and the Divine Names is dependant on their context in the big picture. By this all is put into perspective. For this purpose I have written :
“The Owner’s Manual to the Soul”
The Kabbalah.
Which is as “unified field theory” of Spiritualty. As it is important for one to see the “forest” before investigating the individual “trees”.
Levels of the Soul- In the Bible in its original language “Hebrew” the Soul is called by 5 names.
The Nefesh (animal soul), is the lowest level of them all. It is common in all living things.
The Ruach is the Emotional soul- called “spirit”

Hod – · The eighth sefirah, Hod represents contained energy that which is clearly defined. It is very specific flow. It is the quality of the Divine abundance while Netzach as said before is quantity of flow. Hod isoften associated with Aaron, the first high priest in the Bible.
Yesod – · The ninth sefirah, and serves as the mediator of Netzach and Hod. The biblical character associated with Yesod is Joseph, Jacob’s son. The influence of astrology happens at this level.
Malchut – means “kingdom” and is the tenth and final sefirah. It is also called the Shekhinah which is associated with God’s presence as it is reveal.
Shekhinah is the Divine presence
