Deep lessons in the Tanya

We have learned (Niddah, end of ch. 3): “An oath is administered to him”: Before a man is born an oath is administered to him in heaven, charging him:

Be righteous and be not wicked; and even if the whole world judging you by your actions tells you that you are righteous, regard yourself as wicked.’”

The soul descends into a body for a purpose — in order to fulfill a specific spiritual mission in this world. To enable one to fulfill this mission heavenly oath is administered to them to “be righteous and not wicked,”

This requires to be understood, for we have learned in the Mishnah [Avot, ch. 2],“Be not wicked in your own estimation.”

Furthermore, if a person considers himself wicked, he will be grieved at heart and depressed, and consequently will not be able to serve God joyfully and with a contented heart; One’s heart should not be grieved at all this so to not be led to irreverence, God forbid.

The service of God is to be performed with joy — joy performing a positive command and by refraining from that which is forbidden as this is all for your good and these things are the greatest source of joy. The first part of the oath, “Be righteous and be not wicked,” is vital to his success in realizing his life’s mission.

However, the [above] matter will be more clearly understood after a preliminary discussion of the true meaning of “righteous” and “wicked”.

We find in the Gemara five distinct types:

A righteous person who is successful materially and spiritually; a righteous person who suffers materially and lacks spiritually , a wicked person in whom there is some good him and who prospers; a wicked person who lacks spiritually and materially; and an intermediate person — the “Beinoni”.

The Gemara explains: “the righteous one who prospers” is a compete “saddeek” (Holy Righteous person). He is called complete because he came in the world to fill some spiritual lacking, maybe to correct a part of his personality and he is called “complete” as he has fixed his “lacking” for which he came to this world.

Once he has achieved this level, physical suffering — to cleanse the soul from the impurities of sin — is unnecessary; he therefore prospers materially as well.

He has learned the lesson.

The righteous man who suffers is the incomplete “saddeek”

He still must learn his lesson and sufferings are the perfect vehicle for refinement, by this many times a person is forced to do the right thing. He experiences material suffering so to also cleanse his soul from the impurities it has gathered upon itself while in a body in this life one a previous one. This refinement is accomplished easer here than in the Spiritual worlds after one dies.

Hope all is well!

As a Christian I must share the Good new of Jesus Christ! The a fore mentioned might have been true before the birth of the greatest Jew ever born.

If you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior then you are under the grace of the “Almighty” and you are free from the law.

When you stand before the thrown of God you are no longer seen as the man who sinned before your acceptance and turning. A man who is turned has no desire to sin but he is the overcome through
Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

No weapon performed against this child shall ever prosper because it is the promise of God.

By his extending grace and his blood shed upon the cross, Your acceptance of him, his birth of a virgin girl, his life of never sinning, his death makes you a child of salvation.

A child who is saved is without sin by the grace and gift of God, which is not earned but gained by faith believing only.

The Holy Bible in Romans the 6th Chapter says it this way;

What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?

By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?

Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?

We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection.

For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no
Longer has mastery over him.

The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.

If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection.

For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin because anyone who has died has been freed of sin.

because anyone who has died has been freed from sin.

Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.

For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.

The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives he lives to God.

In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey it evil desire.

Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness.
Let us be the slaves to “Righteousness” as God has called us through his redemption!

What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!

Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?

But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed the form of teaching to which you were entrusted.

You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.

I put this in human terms because you are weak in your natural selves. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to ever increasing wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness.

What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of ? Those things result in death!

But now that you have been set fee from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Be blessed by God the Father because he wants none to perish but all to come to salvation and to come under grace and out from under the law of sin and death.
